Funnist? Do you mean most funny, or most fun? Here's a list of humerous series.
  • Mahoromatic
  • Azumanga Daioh
  • School Rumble
  • Full Metal Panic Fumoffu
  • Hanaukyo Maid Tai
  • Ranma 1/2
  • 2x2=Shinobuden
  • FLCL

The list could go on forever probably.

You need to watch more anime.

That said, Azumanga Daioh is made of win and love when it comes to comedy. It never tried to be anything else in its entire span of 26 episodes.

On a related note to Azumanga Daioh, if you're ever in a book store looking at manga, check out Yotsuba&!. It's by the same creator as Azumanga, and in my opinion is even better than Azumanga is. I think it's the funniest manga I've ever read in my life.

I agree with this. When other anime try to hard to be funny, Yotsuba&! takes the simplest things and make it gold. Plus it helps that she so damn adorable.

I'd say Azumanga Daioh for the funniest anime ive seen.

I also enjoyed watching He is my master, it's quite funny. I wouldn't say Full Metal Alchemist is a comedy type of anime. But it's all a matter of choice

Kyou Kara Maou or Fruits Basket xD
I have only seen a couple of episodes of Azumanga Daioh, so I can't say if it is as funny.
Hope you all understand this. ^^''

Dragonball. I can't get the cursed image of Son Goku shoving his Nyoi-bo up Ninja Murasaki's *** out of my head.

Ranma 1/2 is currently the only thing that comes to mind when I try to think of consistently funny anime (that I've seen, of course), but nearly everything I've viewed has packed at least a few good laughs.

ICK!!! Why did you HAVE to remind me of that really.. digusting scene in the anime? The worst was that Goku didn't even bother to wash it with some soap.

I'm surely not gonna touch THAT thing ever!!! *shudders*

FMAlchemist has a few funny scenes here and there, but it isn't a comedy series.

Fumoffu is one of the funniest anime I've ever seen. I literally cry while watching it. Helps that the dub in spanish was suberbly good. Arturo Sian Vidal shined as Sousuke.

The funny scenes in Fruits Basket are just really, really funny. I cry everytime in laughter watching Ayame and Ritsu. Wished they animated more episodes.

The Hot Springs Tenrei episode of Outlaw Star is damn funny. I love the scene where the pirate dude walks down the cliff for no reason. Idiot.
