Basilisk
Hey, haven't been on for awhile so i decided to make a post about a new series i was looking at. I was looking at this series a long time ago and thought it reminded me of Ninja Scroll a little bit. I recently read some info. about it and saw that it was done by Gonzo. So i was wondering how good it is???

Just finished it, good stuff. Not much in the way of character build up but if you liked ninja sroll you'll absolutely love it. Although i'm now watching samurai champloo and want to have a love child with it as its soooooo good.

I like Basilisk a lot, despite only reading the first manga and watching the first disc. It as a series focuses more on battles and action, while it throws character development either to the back seat or out the window. It does have a Ninja Scroll feel to it, but evolved a few times. Animation is topnotch, and I find it easy to recommend Basilisk if you are an action fan. I would not recommend Basilisk if you were more a fan of drama and character development, or like to get attached to characters.

Very good show. One of the best series released this year. Very good animation and fighting. After watching the first DVD you will understand why there is little character development. There's actually 2 characters that will develop throughout the series. There's also love and all that other stuff, but mostly bloody, action, fighting stuff.

I really enjoyed this series, though I never got to see the last few episodes. I'm currently collecting the limited edition dvds. There is some character development, but I think the main focus is on the animation and action. So really sweet fight scenes.
