Updated Drawing
Here's an updated version of a quick sketch I posted here some time back. I added colors to what was once only an ink Sketch. I still wanted to keep the 'sketchy-ness' of the original look, so I only slightly cleaned up a few of the rough lines. I had great fun playing with the forms and shapes to make her hair.
Enjoy. Original: ![]() Photoshop:

Hey Malchiel, you are probably right. Well, it's a good thing there isn't a Betty around or this thread could turn into some real serious trouble between the two girls and--

WOW Archie, WHAT DID YOU EVER SEE IN BETTY!?!?! XD
Always good to see ya here, Sky. Works are quite comic-y in tone, I like

I've updated and overhauled everything in the gallery. Now both of the works that Sab-ca and I did are on display. The small girl is Keysa (I'm thinking of making the spelling Keesa -- or Kisa -- because I'm trying to get the long 'e' sound in there). She is tiny because I made the character Brakko look so large in size. But that's the idea, which is to have contrast in size in order for the characters to 'read' or stand out better.
The character expressions are a combination of Anime, Hanna & Barbera, and (like Sam Lee writes about in his own works) people I have known or met. ![]() For some reason this unfinished drawing (below) looks better than the completed one I have posted online elsewhere. Might as well leave it here for final viewing. ![]() Bye. *** Last edited by Skylark; January 23rd, 2009 at 05:05 PM. |

That'll be fun to see colored! Keysa's so tiny! XD Nice diversity with the cast you have there. All you're missing is the obvious old man. lol.
Good to see your gallery comin' together. Your charas sure are showing alot of personality there!

![]() This is another person whose drawings I really like (and she has just returned to writing again - hurrah!). Her name is Tara Tallan. Her early 'Galaxion' SF comic is partly anime inspired. I admired her efforts because her comic really focused on story and character. Her passion and efforts to achieve the kind independence most anime fans try to achieve with their own art and webcomics is the kind of qualities that I look for and try to support. Her comic book temporarily ceased in '98. However, she has returned and is online now trying to re-sharpen her storytelling skills with new Galaxion stories. You can examine and read her webcomic here: http://galaxioncomics.com/about/synopsis/
