ryushe's Art Thread

Hey, Long time all. Just creating an Art thread to show some of my stuff of, Not very good stuff but bare with me. Also please critique as you see fit, Have to get better by knowing my own weakness. Thanks and enjoy.

The first pic is just a normal drawing that I completly inked as you can see...Actually this is the first inking I've ever done and it came out pretty decent despite it looking flat.

The second is another atempt at inking but with a real inking pen that I got at a store around my way called Kinokunia (They sell a whole bunch of great art stuff as well as import manga, CD's, Anime, etc.) I like it but never got around to finishing it.

Damn double post...

This is for a fanart of ED (FMA) that I'm gonna draw but I'm still deciding with sketch to use (I'm leaning more towards the second one).

Not bad at all ryushe, and good to see you in here again.

First drawing looked good...though..can't tell..is it a boy or girl?

Second drawing: There seems to be a loss of depth perception on the arms. I get that the guy is holding the sword back a bit..but it still looks odd. The left arm seems way too long for his body, as well. But other than that, it looks good!

Third drawing: I'd go with the first Ed pic. The second one, his face looks too odd.

And that's my take on your drawings.

Keep up the wonderful work and look forward to veiwing more from you!

My sis say's the same thing, But I love the pose in last one. I'll try to make the second one's face better and show you all.

very dynamic poses and they look sweet You seem to have some difficulties drawing hands though (and who doesn't!), but keep practicing.

here's another pic of mine.

I haven't drawn in age's, So I thought let me take out the old pencil and pad.

This is a picture I have been thinking of for quite some time but never got around to actually draw it. It's a type of "Cyber Girl" holding her machine gun like keyborad waiting to deliver justice to online spammer's and annoying popups...Na just joking.

I just had this idea one day of a girl holding a keyboard as a gun, and even though it's a quick sketch (15 - 20 mins) I kinda like it. Now I have to draw about two more copies to see which one I like the best and please, critique as you see fit. Thanks.

the second picture has problems with palms, the one holding sword should be smaller as it is further away then the one that is ... um ... straight.
The last one picture also needs palms adjustments, try making them bigger, maybe 1.5 times, should be good enough then

For that last one (character holding keyboard), I really didn't think that the arm looked too long. I think it had more to do with the fact that the fold in his sleeve (near elbow) continued on after his arm ended--falling into a perfectly straight, perfectly sharp edge—and therefore creating the illusion that the elbow sat lower than where it should be. That made it seem at first that the right arm (his right, the left side of the page) was longer than it really was. Perhaps avoiding such things in the future (by making a softer, not so straight fold--and just sticking to smaller, gentler folds around joints) would keep your character's arms looking anatomically correct. Because I measured each joint (by using my thumb and index finger as a rough scale) and if you don't measure to the end of that confusing fold, the character's arms are fine. But, if you do however continue down to wear the elbow seems to be (because of the fold), then the character becomes awkward.

I really like your designs and creative ideas! That is always nice to see in artwork--new, fresh poses, interesting mediums, and clever add-ins (such as that keyboard and cord thing). Great job!! .
