Mythical Detective Loki Ragnarok

I'm currently watching this series on anime network and I'm currently on episode 7 of the series and I have to say this show is really boring me.

It's really dissapointing becasue I love Norse mythology and the premise of the show seemed good enough but it just isn't going anywhere to me.

Anyone else see this series? and if so, what are your thoughts?

I watched about the first half of it on fansub. I don't remember why I stopped, because I did genuinely like the show, I just never got back to it. The show seemed to use a very light amount of norse mythology as a basic construct for establishing characters and their relationships, but was mostly original content after that. Perhaps later episodes get more authentic ... I'll have to dig up the rest of the show and watch it to find out.

So far I've only watched the first episode dubbed to spanish. Better than Ghost stories but I found the first ep to be a bit slow. I hope the series becomes better as it progresses.

I think Ghost Stories is hilarious, But I do think the changed alot of things to meet american audiences, Like alot of american stars are mentioned and there was something about "Myspace" in one episode.

Back on topic;
Not only the first episode a bit slow but at about episode 8 it starts to get a "little" interesting. I hope it turns out good because anime network is on it's last legs with me.

I felt that things got more interesting once Urd, Verdandi and Skuld (the three fates) show up and start dealing with Loki. However, as far as pacing, it doesn't change a whole lot, nor in the area of character development. What you have very early in the show is pretty much how it plays out. I have all the volumes and I'm waiting for the last to finish out the series.

Of course they changed a lot. But the story's intact, so no matter how boring the orginal plot might've been, I can't help watching it now(on TAN). =P
MDLR bored me as well, after two epsidoes. Some'll like it, others will not.

When I first started to watch it, I thought I made a huge mistake. It was boring, the characters were all very annoying (especially Maiyura and her stupid mystery obssession). Around the 9th or 10th episode, I felt that it picked up a lot, and become more enjoyable. If you hang in there, maybe you'll find yourself liking it a little more.

It's better than Case-Closed. I'm in the same spot you are-just rent the next volume or two and make your decision then. That's what I am doing.

i thought case closed was more intresting, but thats just me. what i think IS fact is that case closed wasnt boring when they where solving murder and stuff. MDLR is boring on so many levels. i think i'd have to watch the rest of it to pass my judgement on it but so far it sux

I watched the first two episodes fansubbed a while back and found it mildly interesting. I figure I'll probably pick it up if I can get it as a cheap thinpack. Didn't strike me as something that would ever be great or even really stumble on being genuinely good, but perhaps serve as some decent entertainment. But, then again, I also sat through all of Tactics, so I'm relatively lenient on judging when it comes to cutesy filler-tastic kind of stuff like this.....

So....basically, everyone quit before reaching the end of the series....not even the end, part way. TAN has up to episode 10 so I'll still watch to see where it's going.
