FFVII: Advent Children - Included in Anime Collection?

I know most people seperate their dvd collections so that their anime is seperate from regular movies. In the case of Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children, do you prefer to showcase it with your anime dvds? Or do you place it with your other dvd purchases?

Anime, its a form of animation more than its a form of real live action.

i never really thought abou tthis before, but i have it in my regular collection. i guess because my other cgi movie (shrek, monster inc, incredibles, etc) are in there too. so i guess i consider it more of a CGI movie than anything.

I have it in my regular collection right next to "The Spirits Within". It may be a CG animated movie from Japan, but it's not based off of a manga/anime series, it's based on a game, so I don't consider it "anime" in the typical sense.

I thought most people thought anime was animation from Japan. If that's so, does it really matter what type of animation is used?

well, if you go by that reasoning, would you put a copy of the Street Fighter anime or movie in with your anime movies? it's also based off a game, but i would sya this is definitely anime...

after reading this thread, I think i might want to move my copy to the anime shelf. :\

Well, with that reasoning wouldn't you say the same about Sonic, Megaman or Kirby? Although this raises an interesting question, because I do have my copy of Street Fighter II: The Animated Movie with my anime... o.0

It's animated and it's from Japan, therefore, it's goes with the rest of the animated stuff that originated in Japan. The other CGI movies I have like Monsters Inc and Toy Story are American movies, so they go with the American stuff. And since Spirits Within was an American movie, that sits next to Toy Story, too.

Of course, I have my live action Japanese stuff in with my other non-anime discs, so I really only have two catagories - Anime and Everything Else.
