Can't remember title!

I remember watching a film years ago where the world is post appocolypic and the main character i think is searching for his friend who ends up being blind but has turned bad (again 'i think', it was a long time ago) the thing i remember the most about it was that he was being chased around by a mech who's pilot had been dead for some time, any idea what this film was?

This might not be wrong but what the hell, maybe Orguss 02. Its a 6 episode OVA. The main character hurts his eyes & is blind durring the last episodes. He is chased around by mecha. I'm not sure about the dead pilot thing but at the end the villian gets his neck broke & it appears he is dead but he really isn't & comes back.

A post apocalyptic setting with a hero searching for a brother who has turned evil sounds a whole lot like Hokuto no Ken's Kenshiro searching for Toki, who turns out to be impersonated by the evil Amoeba. But there are no mecha in Hokuto no Ken.

Any chance you're mixing up two different series together? After many years, memories can get jumbled.

Roujin Z.

And, I do believe you are confusing two movies together.

Similar in appearence to Roujin Z is AKIRA (both are Ohtomo Katsuhiro works), both have post-apocalyptic or Cyberpunk feels to them. AKIRA is noted for Kaneda chasing his friend Tetsurou (who had become drunk with power).

AKIRA, if you don't remember the bike, then that's probably not it:

Nope

Its Niether, its definatly not akirai remember that well, and the mech i'm talking about is a military machine simular to the two legged tank things in starwars, and the dead driver looks as if hes been dead for years. Not a fancy medical machine with an elderly guy in it like in roujin z...........

thanks..........

Anyone?

Has nobody else got any idea what it could be?
Or can could you give me a quick list of anime's set in a post apocalyptic age, which seems to be popular in anime.

Any idea how or where you saw this anime? If you watched it on American television, it will be listed here.
