English to Romaji translator
i have seen english to japanese characters and japanese characters to english but are there any translator out there that translate to romaji because i cant pronounce those japanese characters at all....hehe

Hiragana and katakana don't have as many characters as kanji. I don't know the exact number but there can't be anymore than 150 for each alphabet. That's counting the stuff like 'pya' and 'ryo'.
Hiragana is used for words native to the Japanese language. Katakana is used for foreign words.

I had the same issue heres what i did:
You could translate english to japanese here: http://dictionary.reference.com/translate/index.html Then Take that and translate japanese to romaji here: http://www.animelab.com/anime.manga/translate The second site is not 100% accurate but it looks pretty accurate to me I thought i might as well post because this could be very hard to find and even though this thread is 4 years old i thought oh well XD |

This will convert any kanji string to romaji. Please do bear in mind though that it is not completely accurate. In some cases there is more than one possible reading for a compound, and this tool can only pick the most common. Oh wait, this thread is ancient. Ooooops.
