I am greatly enjoying jormungand, its kinda like black lagoon but with a little more silly side/ light moments. Michiko was a fun and unique show, I felt it faded as it went along but the 2 main characters were engaging. Glad they got picked up.

After actually reading the ANN entry for Michiko to Hatchin, I'm kind of interested. The only thing that scares me is that I always hear Cowboy Bebop brought up in any conversation with this title. As someone who didn't like Bebop (yes, you read that right), is Michiko to Hatchin worth looking into?

Upon further review, I find myself curious about Michiko to Hatchin. I might give that show a try as well.

Cowboy bebop? Hmm...i never made that connection. I guess some of the backgrounds and bit characters look a little like bebop characters but not really similar shows. I mean michiko to hatchin is a kind of pseudo mexico/south american (hey maybe nadie and ellis are there somewhere...) urban thing. I dont think it is tied to music at all, or futuristic. Or whatever deep meaning or whatever desslock sees in bebop

What i got from it (and enjoyed the most) was the terrific dynamic between michiko and hatchin, and how they develop together from what they were when they first met. Thats what the story is really about. There is some plot related to some sorta gangs or whatever but i didnt care about that at all

There is some vague twisted similarity to a Cinderella story, but michiko is hardly a prince charming .

Michiko to Hatchin has no connection to CB except that Watanabe was the music producer for it. It's a "girls on the run" type story, with interesting/eccentric characters in it. Michiko is a strong female character(typical of director Sayo Yamamoto's shows), and her interactions with Hatchin are quite charming. The show drags towards the end, but I still recommend it.

I just remember reading on various places (ANN, AOD/Mania) about how people couldn't believe Michiko to Hatchin was still unlicensed considering the success of Bebop or something along those lines. I don't remember the specific reason why. I just remember seeing the words Cowboy Bebop and then instantly writing off Michiko to Hatchin as something I never want to watch. Yeah, I dislike Bebop that much

Anyway, it sounds interesting. I think I will give it a try when it comes out. Thanks!

Hmm! Sounds like this show is similar to El Cazador de la Bruja than Cowboy Bebop, but that's just my opinion. Has anyone else made that link?

Well..i did, hence naming the main chars from el cazador above It is a lot less supernatural than el cazador, and a lot less 'girl with guns' really.

Well on the subject of "Ikki Tousen", nice to see that Funi has rescued "Great Guardians" after the Media Blasters fiasco. Not that I'm insulting MB, they had a good thing going until the last few years. Plus we're getting "Xtream Xecutor" too. One thing I always wondered about IT:how much money does the school spend on tailoring the girls uniforms, lol!?!

If only the announcements had come in a few weeks earlier, I already bought Great Guardians. But I'm looking forward to Xtreme Xecutor at least.
