Do you have any idea how many hours I've worked this week?!?

Okay; starting from the same outermost turning lane, he would have to turn into the outermost lane in the cross-street, which is the lane in which one would turn to go into Starbucks. In that case, yes, it is unambiguously her fault for failing to leave proper distance between her and the car in front of her.

Regarding witnesses: If she has two that agree with her side and you only have one that agrees with yours, the judge might split the difference. That's how it often goes, in the absence of actual evidence.

Why would she bring a witness if that witness won't help her case?

At any rate, this'll be handled by Insurance Claim Adjusters unless someone decides to take someone else to court.

There won't be, most likely. None of the private folks would train their cameras on the road. Your best bet is contacting the city to see if there are traffic cameras.

Sure there is. There is always room for sass. And Jello. Gotta love that Jello.

Not always true. If the parking lot was right next to the entrance from the road, most places have surveillance in the parking lots. You never know if it was angled just right to where it could have caught the accident.

Food for thought, Zechs. If it were me, I'd contact the manager of that store, just in case there's the off-chance it could have captured the accident. What do you have to lose? About 20 minutes of your time. It's worth it (to me), because nothing sucks more than having an insurance increase. I would know...I've had 4 speeding tickets in the past 3 years

Oh please You basically flamed him, calling him a "douche" because you couldn't comprehend the story correctly. Sure you're initial intentions were good, as you were trying to help, but comments like that, you really should keep to yourself. As a moderator, I'd have thought you would know that.

If it were anyone else who said that, you would have likely given them an infraction.

Come on now, I've been to Texas a handful of times in my short-lived life, and they are the nicest people around. Or maybe I'm just tainted by the soul crushers known as Ohioans

The biggest problem is that no one posted a picture of what ACTUALLY happened until Jon did. What the OP posted was a pic of what the OTHER person says happened. Why the hell would you do that? You were biased against yourself, OP.

Zechs is in the right and the lady is at fault, unless he was speeding and suddenly slammed on the breaks to turn into the Starbucks.

However, I was confused at first and I don't blame Desslock and Shiroiyuki for siding against him. The original picture has you guys in two different lanes with you turning in front of her immediately after the light.

If you were trying to depict what her account was...I don't know why you would do that. Like every comedically incompetent lawyer in media (you know, the old "throwing the ball at the blind guy" trick in court to prove he's not really blind and it ends up hitting him in the face), I imagine you being a defendant somehow accidentally convincing the judge that you were directly responsible for the Cambodian genocide or something. You'd come in with incriminating pictures of you as a prison guard from back then and lead with "Your honor, this is what she would like you to think I'm all about, but there's much more to me than mass murder and traffic accidents...what? The Hague?"

Yeah...just say wtf happened and no more.

Here in Arizona, both of you. Enjoy your $220 ticket.

No joke, the ticket is that much.
