Ok so im making that scary leap into the digital medium of art, and i have no idea what to buy/use in terms of peripheral devices. I am looking to get a tablet, however i am no sure whether or not i should buy a completely dedicated graphics tablet or go with a conventianal cheaper tablet PC. With tech nowadays tablet pc's seem to be the in thing atm and the ASUS ee transformer which ive been looking at seems to be a nice compacitive touch tablet for drawing. However dedicated graphics tablets are well dedicated to drawing tho they are a bit expensive, so i was wondering what ur thoughts are on this matter, are pc tablets good enough or should i shell out a bit more cash for the dedicated?

No PC tablets are not good enough imho. Wacom is a great way to go. Have a look there and check out the options. The Bamboo is good enough if you are beginning. Looks like they also have a premium digital pen for the tablet PC too now so if u decide to go that way, give that a shot. Maybe it will be the best way to have both worlds

Yup Wacom is good. If u just want something basic, the Bamboo is a simple version. Intuos tablets is for serious stuff, but if u were considering a pc tablet I doubt u will need this. There's a review here if you are interested
