Mirai Nikki

I've heard of the show a few times and I know that FUNi's picked it up, probably going to release it some time next year, but I don't really know what's it about except they have some sort of diaries that give them powers and have to win a game. Well I could easily find the synopsis online so that's not why I made this thread, I wanted to ask if it's work checking out?

the concept is great, but it needed less whiney boy and more plotting and murder... Its worth it to catch it but don't rush it.

It's worth checking out, I think. If you remotely liked Death Note or Code Geass, it has some similar elements of peer manipulation and intrigue. The story revolves around "Future Diaries" which are cell phones given to specific persons and they tell the future in different ways. A game then begins involving the Future Diary users, run by the one who gave them the FDs, Deus Ex Machina (yes, the closest thing to a god which exists in the show is a character).

I have no idea if the anime adaptation was 100% faithful to the manga, but the manga was enjoyable for what it was, though decidedly not as well thought out as some of the other pieces I've read. 7/10, maybe? Worth reading once, so I assume the anime is worth seeing at least once.
