Hoshi wa Utau - I think this one is only a matter of time, given how popular Natsuki Takaya's Fruits Basket was in its U.S. release, but shoujo manga sales are never a sure thing even with popular authors. The pro to this one is that the series ended at 11 volumes this year in Japan, so maybe a U.S. license might not be too far off.

Kuragehime (a.k.a. Jellyfish Princess) - I adore this manga so much that I would be really saddened if it never saw a release here. It has a few downsides that could play against a potential release -- it's jousei (which can be hit-or-miss even in Japan) and the art looks a bit retro as if it were a manga from the 80's -- but I have hope that it will be licensed due to the fact that FUNimation will release the 11-episode anime on DVD next year. The other problem is that the series is still ongoing in Japan, and, at eight volumes and counting, who knows how long this one may turn out to be. Fans like me may be happy to see this series go on to ten, fifteen, twenty volumes -- but U.S. manga publishers? They might not want to bank on such a series.

Kyō, Koi o Hajimemasu - Even though I could see this series appealing to people who liked Hot Gimmick, I really doubt this one will see a U.S. release due to its "gray" genre, straddling the lines of shoujo and jousei.

Gokusen - It's a pipe dream, perhaps, that this 15-volume jousei manga will ever be licensed, but...maybe someday.

Rose of Versailles - Just like with the anime version, I'd really love it if this series were someday licensed. With older titles like Princess Knight being licensed, perhaps the day will come that Lady Oscar has her true English language debut.

though chances are slim because Corpse Party is not a otome game

the Air, Kanon, and Clannad manga, wont happen because manga based on bishoujo games never get licnesed, but manga based on yaoi and otome games do. It's not fair. Why does moe always shafted in favor of bishies in Amercia?

Kaiji - One of the best Manga i have ever read. Full immense tension just like the show. Great Design and Funny as well as tragic. Just Amazing!

Crows - Great Delinquent/Gang Highschool story. Lots of characters and action. Funny Dialogue and great designs again. The fact Takahashi can make so many delinquents all look different but have none of them lose the correct style is amazing. Some of the characters in here are the most Badass looking characters i have ever seen.

Fighting Spirit - This will never happen, if only for its length more than the fact its a sports manga. But God Damn its so brilliant. Lovable Characters, Epic Showdowns and more Development than you can shake a stick at. Just a Brilliant, Brilliant Read. The Anime is awesome too and despite its massive failure for Geneon, I'm so grateful they bought it over. Its one of my prized shows within my collection.
