Bzzzt. Victory and Turn-A are both UC according to both timeline and Tomino. Victory is set a good while after F91, when the Zanscare invade Earth. It's pretty awesome, but also horrifyingly dark and bleak even for Gundam. Tomino was depressed during it and it shows. Turn-A, by contrast, is set like a billion years into the future (I'm exaggerating) and they dig up tons of old Mobile Suits like "Borjarnons" (Zaku Is) and Kapools, which kinda solidly places it in UC.

I still wouldn't refer to it as a UC Gundam though That'd be like saying all the Gundams are in the UC timeline because they all eventually link together in Turn-A-Gundam.As for Victory I really don't know anything about it but it does sound interesting.

Victory follows the Zanscare Empire (of Jupiter) invading Earth and battling the mostly garbage Earth Federation, while the League Militaire steps up. Uso is one of the youngest (and most badass) Gundam protagonists, at only age 13.
![]() As for Turn-A, it...doesn't really have elements of AU per se. Tomino tried to suggest it (Corin Nander hallucinates the Wing Gundam at one point) and I believe there's some other suggestions, but nothing concrete. Besides, the Zakus and Kapools they find buried in the ground are pretty solid evidence of it being UC, even if it's so far advanced it doesn't resemble it at all. Gaia Gear was in between Victory and Turn-A but it was declared non-canon by Bandai, so I guess it doesn't matter. That one was a radio dramatization and featured a number of interesting things too, but I don't know enough about it to speak with any detail. |

Was also looking at X Gundam or w/e.

Victory Gundam and After War Gundam X are my favorite Gundam shows. X was not well received on its initial run, and was canceled early, so it's shorter than most Gundam shows, but it manages a nice wrap up and it's an excellent one. It's kind of like a what if at first -- namely, what if Zeon had dropped colonies on basically the whole planet and wiped out most of humanity? It's a bit silly at times but it's very cool and it's the only AU to explicitly have Newtypes.

It wasn't awful for the first few episodes, but I just kinda... stopped watching it. No real reason. I just didn't DL it one week and never really looked back.
Bad ending? Awful second half (Ala 00)? |

Its so dull/bland/weak. The AGE story arcs are too short so the story feels too choppy & characters aren't that well developed.
![]() Sunrise better make it up with Gundam the Origin.

I'm skipping AGE for now and waiting for more Unicorn. I think I'm making the right choice.

If it involves watching Unicorn, there is no wrong choice.
