SRW OG2 Anime coming 'fall 2010'

Well this came out of nowhere. I have some pictures but not too much translated info:

I'm looking forward to this, it seems that they've ditched the CG stuff from the OG1 anime. Although I'm not too sure about some of the character design... the slight redesigns (courtesy of Masami Obari (Dancougar/Nova Gravion)) ... stand out a bit. No pun intended. And all the men look weird.

Things I hope to see:

Lots of Ibis
Vaisaga
Royal Heart Breaker
Tornado Blade
The Earth Cradle route

Edit: Oh wait, current staff/cast list:

It looks like Obari is the director rather than the chracter designer as I originally thought.

Not out of nowhere, rumors of OG2 anime and a PS3 SRW announcement hit SRW Hotnews last week.

And apparently the character and mech design work has been spread amongst various designers. Hence that awful torpedo tit Angelg alongside normal looking Alt and Weiß. If I'm lucky Lamia will get Vysaga for the second half.

Will watch, but I never have high hopes for SRW anime. They just never seem to get it right. The OVA was alright, but tried to smush too much in (LOOK ZENGAR FOR 10 SECONDS! NOW MASAKI FOR 10 SECONDS etc...). The series was again alright, but just didn't sit right with me, and DisSRX was silly.

...I can't believe it but...this might actually be worth watching. Holy crap!

I think th best part was when the monitor actually flashed "Shout Now!", implying that the moves really are voice activated.

At least the Type S and Type R Gespensts appear to be partially voice controled

A few others probably are - at least partially (Cybuster comes to mind). Some are controlled by copying the pilots movement (Valsione and DyGenGuard) and some just have controls (most of the PTs - Gespenst and Huckebein variations and AMs - the Lion series etc.)

Partially that, also the fact that this series really is for the fans.

If you have OGs/OG Gaiden, stick some random characters into the Type S

G-d, watched a few episodes and it reminded me how convoluted the story in SRW OG was. I don't think I'll finish it. The robot battles are cool, but without the option to skip the horrid story, it's just not worth it.

OG suffers from having a lot to put in, but the games handled it well. The problem is that there's too much for a 26 ep anime.

A couple of years ago Tiran (old member) and I planned out the entierity of OG's plot (or maybe Alpha's) in anime form. We decided you needed at least 52 episodes to do it well.
