There should be more light and romantic stuff. While there is a demand for hardcore rape/degrading, there is also a demand for light and fluffy cute stuff. I'm starting to wonder how popular titles which don't feature rape/humiliation/torture are in Japan.

They are still popular, but for the most part, they are not what the US companies seem to want to license here of late. Ringetsu, Do You Know the MILFing Man? and Consenting Adultery are about the only exceptions with the exceptions of re-releases . . . .

Are there other titles being made in Japan that fall under "romantic/fluffy"?

Other than the titles you just mentioned, the only recent romantic/fluffy titles I can think of that have been released in Japan are by PinkPineapple, and they don't license to North America anymore.

I don't think a majority of Japanese viewers watch Hentai for wholesome vanilla sex.

I'd like to see a romantic tentacle story
Once read one in a manga, thought i cant remember the title of it.
(was a girl who loved some kind of tentacle pet ? and hid it from her father )

That sounds fun.

On "nasty versus fluffy", Shawne Kleckner, Dark Lord of The Other Big Anime Specialty Retailer (from an ANN Forums thread):

However, I also respect the company's right to enforce their copyright so I'm a little divided on this issue.
We have a number of lighter hentai titles, such as G-Taste, F3, Mail Order Maiden, and so forth. I will tell you, though, that the demand is higher for the really nasty stuff.
Edit: Though I am with the rest of you—I prefer hentai that features happy, horny, and enthusiastic characters, not abusers and their traumatized victims.

Edit 2: In the Web comic Ghastly's Ghastly Comic: Tentacle Monsters and the Women Who Love Them there is a baby tentacle monster, who tends to find sex toys and fetish gear and use them as toys, without knowing or understanding their intended purposes.

Well what should i say ? Im on the same wavelengh like you ?
I also like it the most if the female char's enjoy the fun. Or even if the guy is the victim (just a lil bit. sometimes you get that scene: the guy thinks he has control but a bit later its just the other way round)
Maybe because i tend to be more a masochist than a sadist ?

Citation, please? As of 2006, it (probably) wasn't.

this is entirely true, but i have to say, no matter how you look at it, its still pretty out there, and probably hitting a smaller target audience. and as for it being banned, nothing against the people who watch it, but we have to hope their crowd doesnt get much larger or else the kind of attention that brings bans may get drawn to it. while i may not agree with this hentai, i certainly sympathize with how they'd feel as fans of something so extreme. i go through the same every day thanks to my tastes in music. and no, i'm not talking about metal. but what it comes down to is these smaller facets of fandom subcultures are actually a fair bit more complex than they seem.

If you look backward in time at classics like Cream Lemon or Cool Devices, they were way more diverse that what we have nowaday.

Now if there a market for that kind of extreme hentai ? I would say yes, alas. Market and demand, as someone previously remarked.
The more Anime Hentai made from Japan the merrier.
It's not about girls anymore. It's also boys too.
Yaoi, Yuri And now Hentai gone too far adding Shotacon and Lolicon.
Japanese seriously? Kuso. More Anime Etchi.

I feel your pain I doubt that the form of H media which I do not care for, will get any more fans than they have now. it's a verry small subgroup

Is hentai TOO EXTREME!?! Gee uhm..i don't think that pretty much describes it all.lol

Hey this is Hentai anything goes.lol

In any kind of story..sometimes you gotta find way to draw out a characters personality to sell the story. Without certain sex scenes it can really downplay the importance for later on in the show. As an artist and anime fan i do try to read more then just between the lines. lol Kindda of the take the good with the bad scenerio.

But ofcourse everyone has there limits and taste right. I personaly though don't like rape, characters that defently don't look like adult age and other real disgusting things not normly ment for sex scenes. The tenticles i don't mind at all but its the other things if you know what im talking about.
