So. My life, AN.

12 hour workers are supposed to get 4 days off. On the way out the door from my last work day, the boss came over and told me that I'd be moving to 8 hour 6 day a week shifts. Gave me one day off and I was ordered to report back tonight for the 11 to 7 shift to train for the 8 hour job I'm trying for.

Oh but...not at 11. At 9 so I can learn from the second shift lady for two hours.

I'm tired, sore, and butthurt.

And I miss...

I'm not sure if I speak for everyone dealing with loss or not. But let me tell you a story and then scold you appropriately.

Today my friend was talking about death a lot. I think about death all the time. No biggie. But she was really emotional about it. She gave me a long sappy poem about how the spirit of a loved one is with you in your heart, and in the wind, and sky, and sun, and smiles, and all kinds of sweet things like that.

It just happened to be the poem...

Idk what the deal is. When I was little, like one or two, I watched this movie so many times that the tape finally broke.

Mom would put it in and I would watch it over and over for hours and hours. I never tired of it.

Somewhere in my little kid brain I was convinced I was going to marry Ariel.

Once when I was maybe two, my aunt came...

I remember the day we met at last. He appeared within a floating mansion I had fashioned for myself in the sky, miles above the northern coast. His wisp was nowhere to be found, apparently cast aside as I had been.

As I gazed at him standing before my hearth with tired eyes, my love for him returned like the sun to the dawn sky.
