You know I could have written this about that really awesome Power Quest album "The Magic Never Dies" (give it a listen sometime. It's awesome), but instead the magic pertains to magical girl anime.

All this time I've spent considering if I should start a Crunchyroll account, they still have yet to deliver the ultimate selling point for me to join; some oldschool magical girls.

When small things are worthwhile

Imagine that you just got out of work. You're finally free for your weekend. Cruising home with some excellent tunes (Insert music of your choice here). The green scenery passing by as the setting sun colours the sky beautiful shades of pink and blue. The fresh spring air is blowing in your face.

It's small things like this that can be worthwhile. That moment of freedom is definitely good for lifting one's spirits.

Realization, Optimism restored, and Candy saves the day

Seriously, how could I take a break now of all times when Candy Candy is being fansubbed? I can't miss out on that. The first five episodes are available. Let's hope the group working on it, keeps it up. All too often older series get dropped before completion. This goes doubly so for shoujo titles.

About that realization. I have a clearer understanding of my tastes now. I guess I can site my disappointment with Dragon Destiny for that. For me when a show gets too dark or violent,...

The Principles of Anime Inspired Optimism

For fun I decided to throw togeather the principles of anime inspired optimism. This is all I have now, but I'll post more when they come up.

I. The Ryo Saeba principle - Even if you're a spazztic pervert, you can pull it togeather and save the day.

II. The Haruhi Suzumiya principle - She is god. That is all you need to know.

III. The Konata Izumi principle - Being otaku is A-O.K.

IV. The A-Ko principle - Never underestimate Japanese school...
