Today I thought I'd talk a bit about music. An art form and a form of communication. Quite possibly a thing that everybody is passionate about in some way.

I've had an E-Music account for over a year now. So, yeah, I've joined the 21st century and have been purchasing my music in digital format.

It's been pretty good when looking for jazz. I've found great albums from John Coltrane, Sonny Rollins, Dexter Gordon, Stan Getz, Thelonius Monk, Dave Brubeck, and many others...

Nothing special ever happens in my city. We usually have to go to L.A. or San Diego for big events. When I heard that this year's Independence Jam was to be held 5 minutes from where I live, I was shocked and excited at the same time. And to boost my excitement even more, I found out that one of my favorite bands, the Yeah Yeah Yeahs, was on the roster!

Imagine that you just got out of work. You're finally free for your weekend. Cruising home with some excellent tunes (Insert music of your choice here). The green scenery passing by as the setting sun colours the sky beautiful shades of pink and blue. The fresh spring air is blowing in your face.

It's small things like this that can be worthwhile. That moment of freedom is definitely good for lifting one's spirits.

Ah, so today I finally got to do some work for a change. A friend of mine has a construction business so every once in a while he needs extra help and calls me, not that I'm particularly skilled in anything, but extra man power is always good. Besides it was so nice outside today too, the weather was awesome. Perfect for working on a roof. Anyways, I was watching tv today and this song was in a commercial and has been stuck in my head since. figured I'd share and have it stick in your head too....
