Anime Wishlist

I had another blog I was working on, but I need time to gather more stuff for it.

Anyway, onto the point of this current blog entry. It's a wishlist of anime I would like to see made or things I'd like to see in anime. Many of these things aren't likely, but hey, it's fun to dream about. These are in no particular order.


1. New Sailor Moon anime - Yes. I don't care if it's a re-make or a countinuation, a tv series or OVA. It would just be great to see some new Sailor Moon anime.

******spoilers ahead*******

Personally I thought it would be awesome to take off after the end of Sailor Stars and explore what this new power is that Sailor Moon acquired in the final episode. She obviously has amazing healing abilities in this new angel form of hers.

The plot could also focus on how this is a key to bringing about the peaceful future of Crystal Tokyo. It could follow the path that brings the Sailor Senshi to this future. Perhaps it would be interesting to give the now healed Sailor Galaxia, a role as a mentor of sorts to the others. Maybe as the series progresses, give each Sailor Senshi an angel form and healing abilities.


2. Scientific Moe - This one's kinda goofy, but it sounds cool. We have slice of life style moe comedies dealing with art, music, and school life, so why not moe girls as scientists. Maybe some junior astronomers. Perhaps a series where our main characters are beginners in a field, like let's say ...... paleontology. That could be quite a cool show.

3. Nekki Basara followers - Heroes who want to create peace to end conflict are indeed rare. It needn't be through music, but I believe pacifism deserves more of a chance in entertainment.

I can't help but feel we glorify violence, not just in entertainment but in societal mentality. I know it's harder to imagine how to solve problems this way or to write engaing stories about it, but it's possible. The mere exersise of doing so may very well make us smarter as a people. If we challenge ourselves to find a better way.

The characters needn't be Basara clones, but they should be characters who believe in peace and showing the world a better way. We need more anime with this attitude.

Hey, what's say we have a Basara -esque character in the Gundam universe who brings peace to atleast one of the alternate realities in the franchise?

4. Diversification of Pokemon anime - Pokemon is a pretty big franchise and pretty versatile. As far as I know there was a shoujo version in manga format only. It would be interesting to introduce a shoujo version of pokemon to air alongside the original. With a determined young girl and her friends. Plus introduce a romance element to complete the shoujo staple.

For older fans, maybe try a moe Pokemon. With a bit of a Lucky Star-esque feeling. Only our moe girls will be Pokemon trainers. Yeah. this seems a little off the deep end, but then again we now have Hello Kitty moe, so why not Pokemoe.

5. Nude art class anime - Think something with the feel of Hidamari Sketch, only focusing on nude art. With a very body positive attitude, this show would be just what anime needs. A show to express that there's nothing wrong or dirty about the human body

Our main characters will model for each other and deal with everyday life. It'll be great.


Well that completes my current anime wishlist. I always have interesting ideas popping up in my head, so chances are there may be another.
