Why do I say the things I do on AN at times?

Ok..its been a while hasn't it. lol
Over the years I've been on here I've been called all kinds of things.
Pretty mean ones at times.lol
Mostly the one I hear many times is:
That I'm Paranoid. And other things like having no crediabilty.
How many people do you know on here that first makes his debut on AN forums by talking about and in many details questioning the whole Christopher Handley trail?
Well that was me.
While many on here said, hes done, slam dunk case closed..I said no wait a minute here. Somethings not right with all this.
I think theres more to this story then we're being informed on.
I was laughed and ridiculed for it. And ever since then when I even try to bring up conversations that are ment to be in a mature matter some people at times take it the entirely wrong way.
Yet at the same time I can't exactly blame em. lol
Especially when your also the guy who has questioned and predicted a few of the following:
- The Anti-smoking bill passed by congress
- Ban on Japanese Rape games in Japan
- Japans Tokyo's Youth Ordinance Bill
Now..why would anyone question these.
More importantly why would I oppose certain things from em?
I will admit some of what I predict has yet to come to fruition. And I'm not saying in the end I will be right.
Yet I also might point out some of these things going on as I speak is history in the making. So its still way too early to see the full results of em.
Over the years I would always talk about topics in long texts. But I think I finnaly have a true answer for you of why I do so to begin with.
That answer is: unintended consequences
And thats a word I really would like to encourage you to consider with an open mind.
Think of it like Two-Face from Batman.
Two-Face uses a coin to make choices.
Either its good or bad from the flip of a coin. Yet no matter the choice you have indeed an effect from the opposite side of the coin's choice. These could even include unintended consequences when finished from the coin's choice.
If history has shown though..many things ment to do good actually do anything but that when its over.
In a couple of weeks from now we'll look back on some of these topics that I brought up from the past in another blog. Whats been going on since then.
Some even after I'm done talking about will still be ongoing even after that blog is posted.
Its not about trying to prove if i'm right or wrong on these situations. It mostly observational and most importantly of all
what you think of them. Its entirly up to you
decide.
I know I'm probably gonna get criticized again by some on here from this blog. Yet thats the
unintended consequences when you post something. Just makes you ponder indeed the beauty of being able to.
But becareful we may soon have laws where you can't even talk falsely about others online. Even if they are true.
Don't know what i'm talking about? Feel free to do the research or if you really want to wait i'll be more then obliged to provide it next time. In my next blog.
Untill then ttyl and thanks for reading.

Now Walt... you're engaging in a little bit of historical revisionism, here. You know better than that.
Yes, it sounds perfectly reasonable when you say "Christopher Handley... wait a minute here... I think theres more to this story then we're being informed on."
If that had been all you said, you wouldn't have been ridiculed. You know that, we know that. So... would you like to share what it was you were actually saying back then, or would you like me to do it for you?
You don't remember the vivid portraits you painted of men in black breaking down anime fans' doors to drag them off to jail, just because they'd ordered the latest issue of Dragonball? You even cited specific scenes, as I recall.
Don't remember that? Odd, 'cause we all do.
It sounds reasonable for you to question a "Ban on Japanese Rape games in Japan", but... 'questioning' wasn't all you did, is it? No.
Do you recall the chilling scenario you predicted, wherein the gaming industry in this country would collapse as a result of this ban (in another country, no less)? You don't remember that? Funny, we do.
We also remember how we pointed out to you that the "ban" you were so worried about came on the heels of a report issued by a UN committee chiding Japan for failing to follow through with several treaty obligations to eliminate mainstream forms of misogynist entertainment (including, but not limited to the Rape Game genre you were so worried about). Remember how we said Japan had been a signatory to that particular committee since before you were born, and somehow the gaming industry hadn't yet collapsed in Japan, much less the US?
Don't remember that bit either? Funny, we do.
Do you remember how all reasonable opposition to the "Japans Tokyo's Youth Ordinance Bill" kinda dissipated the moment it was pointed out that all it meant was that graphic incest rape titles like Aki Sora had to be sold on a different shelf than Aria and Ah! My Goddess? And do you remember how you declined to review that material for yourself, once the actual content was described?
Yeah, I vividly remember that one, thankyouverymuch.
Here's one: Do you remember how many times I've personally challenged you to outline a realistic scenario by which the First Amendment is repealed, in order to allow any one of the "disaster" scenarios you've predicted to come to pass?
You don't remember how many times I've challenged you to do that? Huh. Neither do I, it's been so many times. But I do know that you've taken me up on that challenge exactly zero times. For all you bluster about the gloom and doom that is surely going to befall us, you can't even make up a realistic scenario by which the First Amendment is repealed.
We all remember this stuff pretty well, Walt. I'd urge you to avoid any attempts at historical revisionism regarding your record on AN, because if history has taught you anything on these boards, it's that we will not hesitate to call your bluff.Posted February 5th, 2012 at 09:00 PM by Leader Desslock

All i'm saying in this blog is just a quick summery for those who don't know me yet on AN.
As i mentioned in this post please allow me to show it again:
"I will admit some of what I predict has yet to come to fruition. And I'm not saying in the end I will be right.
Yet I also might point out some of these things going on as I speak is history in the making. So its still way too early to see the full results of em."
Your asking me to provide answers to things that have yet to happen in history.
There is always a first to happen in history.
Thus called history in the making.
Some of these things do indeed take time. Some could take years before there finnaly exposed for what happens. Its not gonna happen over night. I know I know I say that all the time yet it is how things happen.
Most of the time when talking about stories on here I'm only going with the information that I'm provided with.
Now I do my best to provide plausible answers/scenerios from the information I've learned.
Again I'm not saying they will exactly happen in this way.
Hopefully not even at all.
historical revisionism. Oh thats a good one. Nicely said.
But I personally will stick to what I have at times on here :
Only time will tell.
With that said we'll see what historical revisionism outcome will unfold when people look back on these events/situations in years to come.
Or as I have finnaly become to understand the reason I post to begin with: the unintended consequences that come from these situations.
Now with that said I'll be back with a future blog to follow up on some of these issues in weeks to come. That I can assure ya.
Again I hope I am wrong in the end and we all get a good laugh. Even for me as well.
thanks for posting.Posted February 8th, 2012 at 12:55 PM by waltsoph3

Regarding...
>>Your asking me to provide answers to things that have yet to happen in history.
No, I'm asking you to take the available data and make a rational (supported by a logical argument) case supporting the outlandish contentions you often make.
That's a whole different thing.
If I said tomorrow "People will gradually turn into amphibians - just wait and see!", then... is that prediction credible? Is that prediction based on a rational consideration of available data? Is there a shred of objective evidence to support that prediction?
No? Why not?
According to your argument, I should be able to simply say "It hasn't happened yet, but there's got to be a first time - it's history in the making!"
Of course, that's a load of fetid dingos' kidneys, and you know it. There is not one tiny shred of existing evidence, nor is there a rational argument to support my contention that humans are devolving into amphibious life forms. And until I come up with either: a) evidence to support the contention, or b) a rational argument based on objective evidence, then... I'm just a crackpot, right?
When I say it in such silly terms, you have no problem spotting the logical error. Of course humans aren't devolving into amphibians.
...now abstract that point...
You've claimed that disastrous events will transpire. To present that claim in a credible fashion, you must either:
a) Present direct evidence to support your claims, or
b) Present a logical argument based on objective (or at least agreed-upon) facts that supports your contention.
If you can't do either, then the material you're presenting is (by definition) not credible.
You've predicted a number of things that would only be possible if the 1st Amendment were repealed. Fair enough. If you wish to have people believe those to be credible predictions, you must first outline a realistic scenario by which the First Amendment is repealed.
You have yet to do that, despite the number of challenges I've made to you.
>>"But I personally will stick to what I have at times on here :
Only time will tell."
Every time you've said that, time only told us you're wrong. Or else you told us not enough time had elapsed.
Aren't you willing to give critical thinking a try by this point?
>> "Now with that said I'll be back with a future blog to follow up on some of these issues in weeks to come. That I can assure ya."
Those assurances have fallen completely flat in the past. Please, for the love of gods, prove me wrong just this once.Posted February 9th, 2012 at 08:35 PM by Leader Desslock

well i defently appricate the tips Dess. Really I do. So i do indeed truly thank you for that.
I could have sworn though with the links I share from crediable news sources..wouldn't that at least count twords showing some potential proof for my part of a discussion/argument?
Not saying they win the complete argument though.
It seems to me at times even when I share the news/stories some people just turn the other cheek simply because its coming from me.
Now like I said..hopefully in a few weeks I'm gonna have the posts of past things i talked about.
(it just depends on my own personal schedule)
AND even after my posts some of these stories/situations will be on going and will indeed take years for a final result.
Also about the first amd. I don't know if you've been keeping tabs with current news..however you might be right with the first amd. protections considering recent cases heard by the supreme court.
Yet I also might add that in our past US history..there have been things that were found unconstitional get overturned. It doesn't happen over night . Some did indeed take years and even decades to be overturned.
And again..I hope I am wrong when some of these are over. It would indeed be nice to know that I'm human. lolPosted February 16th, 2012 at 03:03 PM by waltsoph3
