AnimeNation Adventures: Alpha Female Wars (Part 08)

"Are... aren't you going to kill me?"

Ladyshiro was shocked beyond belief. By all means was she prepared to atone for her actions, yet Sora N merely stood in front of her in anticipation. Taking a deep breath, she took a few steps closer to her, still prepared as ever to die that very moment.

"Well, aren't you?" she asked again. "Aren't I of no use to you and Goddess anymore?"

Sora N responded with only a comforting embrace to Ladyshiro, her solemn expression letting her know all there is to know about her fate.

"Get out of here," Sora N finally warned, letting go as she noticed the familiar blood red clad figure slowly approaching. Ladyshiro, after a moment's hesitation, obeyed as quickly as she could, as Sora N picked her trident back up in wait.

"It's about time you showed yourself, Shiroiyuki," Sora N threatened. "Don't think I'm going easy on you... after all you've pulled."

Shiroiyuki rebutted with a swift kick to Sora N's face,immediately pushing her aside as she grabbed her banhammer arm and delivered a second kick to the chest. Already she could practically taste the blood spreading from the marks left by her heel.

"Don't play your revenge card on me, you mutt," Shiroiyuki demanded. "I don't care what you think I did; why should one insignificant speck of life's opinion of me matter, especially when said speck of life is about to die?"

Sora N, after coughing up more blood, glared back at the red-dressed moderator, her trident already charging up a series of storm clouds.

"You honestly believe your hijacking of Videl's stupid game shouldn't matter to me?!" she yelled along with the bolts of lightning that crackled around the two. "You honestly believe the lives you've destroyed thus far were insignificant?!"

"... Videl certainly was a fool, I'll give you that," Shiroiyuki replied with a smug smirk on her face. "She had the audacity to entrust the powers of a moderator to ten others, just so they could compete for a title that ultimately means nothing. You think I couldn't just let her get away with something like that?"

"But you didn't have to kill her!"

"Who said I killed her?!" Shiroiyuki's voice raised to the point where even the roars of thunder were dulled out in comparison. "She left before I could even do anything to her, but no matter... it's not hard to figure out what she was really up to with this game, and thus I'm going to make sure there are no survivors."

"But if you think this Alpha War is just a game, why do you keep fighting?"

"Don't get me wrong, mutt. I want to become Alpha as much as the rest of us still in this game... but you just can't realize that there can be much more at stake than a mere title."

"... You just want to eliminate the rest of us, don't you?"

"And not just you lowly competitors, either," Shiroiyuki boasted. "As a natural moderator, it is my first and foremost duty to maintain order throughout this world, and as of late it's been infested with filthy trolls that impose more danger than you could possibly imagine. Mark my words, mutt, whether Videl wanted it or not, the Great Purge will come, and only my select few will live through to the new paradise that I will have created!"

Sora N finally roared, the waves of lightning now etching straight toward Shiroiyuki, which she dodged in a heartbeat. Still, Sora N's bolts continued to strike all around her, as if they came in an unlimited supply in the hopes that one will finally hit.

"It's a shame Goddessofanime decided to go after the wrong mod," Sora N gritted. "I'm sure she'd have a ball trolling you to oblivion, but oh well... at least now I get you all to myself, and now this pointless war of yours can finally be over!"

"Oh? That's what you think, is it?"

"FINISHING TRAP: LIGHTNING VORTEX!"

At Sora N's call, the flashes of lightning grew by the thousands, all continuously surrounding Shiroiyuki as they etched closer until they each struck their target dead center, knocking Shirouyuki down and paralyzed from the neck down.

"D... damn you... mutt..."

Once the light show was over, Sora N walked toward the fallen Shiroiyuki, her trident placed directly above her head.

"Goodbye, Shiroiyuki. May your sacrifice be the last any of us will ever have to make in this Alpha War."

Before she could lower her trident, however, Sora N felt a force gripping her arm firmly in place as Shiroiyuki's body flickered. Moments later, where Shiroiyuki once lay now showed a much younger girl in night blue and moon white, her eyes covered completely in blood red.

"What... what is this?!" Sora N yelled, as the new figure coughed in desperation.

"S... Sora N? That you...?" the figure cried out to Sora N's utter shock.

"DeathlyMoonGoddess... it can't be!" Sora N screamed in terror. "What have I... HOW COULD YOU...?!"

"Well... good to see the abilities of their banhammers still worked after all," came yet another voice, this time unmistakably familiar to Sora N as the instantly recognizable blood red figure of Shiroiyuki perched herself right above a rocky hilltop.

"You did this... didn't you?" Sora N growled.

"Correction: you did. All I did was have your friends here follow you the moment you showed up. Good to know, however, that your Moon Goddess' disguise banhammer fooled you more easily than I originally thought."

As Shiroiyuki spoke, the force holding back Sora N's arm revealed itself, becoming visible at last in the form of another girl dressed in smoke gray and light silver, her eyes covered in red just like with DMG.

"W... Willag... you too?"

"Don't bother trying to talk them out," Shiroiyuki warned. "These two belong to me now in every possible way."

"Shiroiyuki... you snake..."

"No more time for the silly games, Willag, my dear," Shiroiyuki called out. "I have a world to purge soon. Kill her at once."

"Yes... your highness..." Willag spoke in a monotone, her butterfly knife banhammer instantly manifesting and slitting Sora N's throat. Sora N screamed weakly, her trident arm reaching out toward Shiroiyuki as the red text began to form around her.

"You'll never win, Shiroiyuki..." Sora N coughed, her eyes becoming blurred with redness as her body disappeared into the shadows. Willag and DMG, meanwhile, disappeared back into Shiroiyuki's bloodstream, becoming dormant once more as Shiroiyuki looked back toward the sphere of white flames which began to disappear.

"Only three left..." she whispered to herself, already able to taste the leftover blood of Sora N as she began to retreat.

"Sora N... forgive us..."

Nutmeg felt the grave disturbance of Sora N's death thanks to her Shuuhei banhammer, as Goddessofanime gently grabbed onto her hand in comfort.

"There was nothing we could've done to help her anyway," GOA reassured her as the white flames now disappeared. "We know by now Shiroiyuki is just too overpowered."

"But still..."

"Don't worry, Nutmeg. Once we claim Haruhi's power as our own, we'll have a chance to knock her out once and for all. After that, you relinquish your banhammer, I become Alpha, and Shuuhei will be yours. The real Shuuhei, just like we agreed upon."

"I know... but our friends... won't they get in our way?"

"Our pony friends can be bargained with however you see fit, then," GOA assured. "If they can't, I'm afraid they'll have to become our enemies for the time being."

"... I understand," Nutmeg sighed hesitantly. "For our sake... for Shuuhei's sake... we must go after Haruhi at all cost."

"Good girl," GOA complimented, the both of them hurrying toward their destination.
