The Green Eyed Lady II: Electric Boogaloo
On an otherwise unremarkable night I feel asleep. The dream began on the top of a large cathedral. The sky was rhythmic and murky, dark with ruddy streaks throughout.
There, standing on the very tip of a stone protrusion that might have otherwise held a gargoyle, was the green eyed lady, her form at a profile view from my eyes. She teetered on the edge at an impossible angle, and yet kept her balance.
I approached her, the wind battering my body.
"Who are you?" I demanded.
She gave me a sideways glance, her green eyes blazing in the night, and outstreatched her hand as I drew near.
"Who ARE you?!" I shouted again.
She took my hand in hers. It was cold.
"You already know." she breathed, her voice like galaxies and stars fading into eternal night, all the knowledge in the universe flowing on the tip of her tongue.
She turned to face me and pulled me to her, our hands clasped, our foreheads touching.
"Are you ready? You have to let go. You have to trust me." her voice rang like bells in my veins.
I nodded, and closed my eyes. She shifted our weight, and we dropped over the side.
And then I woke up.
This dream didn't prove to be prophetic, but I felt it was worth noting.
