I'll try doing comics again.
The Shade
I am going to dispense with the publisher entry unless it isn't obvious from the cover image. Everyone can see the logos.

The character of The Shade has been around in one form or another since the Golden Age where he started as primarily a Flash villain. After Zero Hour he was rectonned into the current version though the character as he now stands was mostly cemented by James Robinson in his Starman series. He has also appeared in the DCAU though that version lacks the roguishness of Robinison's take on the character. In that series, The Shade served as a morally ambiguous former villain and ally for the title character. This series spins off from Robinson's Starman and is set in Robinson's Starman/Opal City milieu.
The story picks up after the end of Starman. Peace reigns in Opal City and The Shade is getting bored. His girlfriend (see the end of Starman) says that he is driving her nuts and needs an adventure. Adventure soons arrives in the form of Deathstroke and the plot.
I loved Robinson's Starman so I was looking forward to this series. It's good to see The Shade and some of the rest of the old Starman cast like Mikaal Thomas and Bobo Benetti again. The artwork is generally good but not outstanding. The inky is a bit murky but that tends to be the case whenever The Shade is prominent. This is a good title overall though not quite as good as I was hoping it would be. So far, it lacks that spark that made Starman magic.
