AnimeNation Adventures: Alpha Female Wars (Part 12)
Posted November 21st, 2011 at 07:56 AM by A Dead Spy
In spite of what so many sci-fi and fantasy plots would like people to believe, teleportation is not instantaneous, and it tends to leave those involved more nauseous than a roller-coaster ride. As a moderator, Haruhi was used to such a feeling; everyone else with her was not, as demonstrated by the induced vomit left behind by Plough.
"Agh, you could've warned us beforehand," Melion groaned, Desslock and AG holding him up while Midget simply stood furious.
"There's no time for briefing, let alone a lesson on mod powers," Haruhi explained calmly. "Besides, teleportation sickness passes by quickly. Now stand alert, ponies; we're in enemy territory, and no doubt Shiroiyuki will come for us any moment now."
"I don't know who died and made you Twilight Sparkle," Midget growled in retaliation. "Ryuuji certainly wouldn't have made that decision, let alone trust a mod of all people with his life. How are all those lives destroyed on your watch holding out for you, by the way?"
"Midget, no-" Desslock began, but to no avail as Midget interrupted him.
"No, forget it, Desslock. You all want to fight Haruhi's war? Be my guest. But I'd rather be one less person who has to die for the cause."
"Turn your back now," Melion scolded, ready to punch Midget in the face if need be, "and you'll be the one who's letting us die, Midget. At least with all of us we'll have a better chance."
"... Damn you," Midget cursed, stopping in his tracks to face his comrades once more. "You know, Melion, that speech isn't going to fly once we're all in hell."
"Enough talk, ponies," Haruhi interrupted, noticing a dark red mist cloud in the sky right above the mountaintop. "She's coming. Get ready."
Just then, the ground beneath the group began to crumble as silver vines and lava streams began to sprout open from the cracks, surrounding them completely. From the other side of the newly formed chasm stood the now red-eyed Taleen and Relena, each of them staring blankly at the group as Relena's silver vines slowly etched toward each of them.
"Damn it," Midget groaned, dodging as many vines as he could before finally getting caught and pricked accordingly. It took careful and precise aiming on Melion's part to cut him back loose with his patented rainbow gun.
"Don't get excited," Melion warned, pointing toward another series of vines heading toward Plough and AG while Desslock was too busy being bombarded with lava bursts.
"Naturally," Midget exclaimed, pulling out his own branded apple core shooter and firing at each of the vines, setting Plough and AG free.
"AG, get Desslock!" Midget roared, to which AG complied swiftly as she dodged the lava bursts to the best of her abilities. Once she grabbed hold of Desslock, she flew him out of the lava's range and kept watch of the others.
"Stay on my back, Desslock," AG ordered. "Don't worry, I'm a lot stronger than I look."
"Heh, as if I could worry," Desslock replied. "I wasn't about to doubt-"
A sudden flash of lightning interrupted their conversation, followed by more bolts shot straight at the two, narrowly missing the two. AG turned around on instinct, as she found a bloody-eyed Sora N standing on the mountaintop.
"No way," AG exclaimed, trying her hardest not to curse. "Didn't Haruhi say Sora N and those other two were killed?"
"It must be Shiroiyuki's doing," Desslock tried his best to explain. "Wouldn't put it past her to play God, bringing people back from death and all. Still... I have a bad feeling about this."
Meanwhile, Plough dodged his way across Taleen's lava pits while Melion and Midget kept shooting Relena's vines. This kept going for moments until Plough found himself stuck on one of the vines.
"DAMN IT," Plough cursed, now night completely covered in the spiky vines as Melion stopped to aid him.
"EAT RAINBOW, MOTHER-" Melion started, but to his dismay a butterfly knife cut his hand, forcing him to crop his gun as it then lodged itself directly by his throat. The knife's holder then uncloaked herself, revealing the red-eyed Willag staring right at him.
"DON'T EVEN THINK ABOUT IT," Midget shouted toward Willag, aiming his gun at her while nodding toward Haruhi behind him. "Haruhi, cover me!"
Haruhi, however, responded by grabbing onto Midget's gun and forcing it out of his hand, then by restraining him with the gun pointed at his head.
"I'm not Haruhi," she responded, morphing herself to reveal DeathlyMoonGoddess's true form, red eyes and all.
"Well... ****," Midget aptly responded, the lava bursts now clearing up around them to reveal an injured Haruhi on the other side of the chasm. Before Haruhi could even act, however, a final familiar red figure teleported right next to her, glaring with contempt.
"Did you really believe..." Shiroiyuki began, "... that a gang of My Little Pony fans would be able to stop me?"
"Shiroiyuki..." Haruhi cursed, to which Shiroiyuki responded with a slap to her face.
"I dare say you've had enough fun meddling in my business," Shiroiyuki continued to scold her. "Revealing confidential information to civilians is one thing, Haruhi, but organizing them in a coup against me? You've crossed the line, my friend. Now you can never live as a moderator for the rest of your days, filthy traitor... but thankfully I plan to make those rest of your days incredibly shortened."
"You won't get away with this," Haruhi rebutted. "Once the Admin finds out what you and your team are trying to do with this world-"
"The Admin, Haruhi, doesn't care about this world anymore. He abandoned us, left us for dead, and forced us to fend for ourselves against this plague of trolls. Now look what our world had become: a miserable pile of flames and hatred, spanning nigh the entirely of our population.... you and I both know our plan is for the best."
"By committing genocide?!"
"I don't care if only two people are left on this world after the Purge, as long as our infestation is controlled, our job is complete. Now, Haruhi... surrender."
Shiroiyuki's eyes kept toward Haruhi, knowing full well her minions have still kept the rest of the group in check as she drew some of her blood to form a crimson sword.
"Don't forget: on my command your friends here will all be dead in a heartbeat. Surrender, and I will let them live. Persist, and they all die. I trust you to make the right choice, Haruhi. The world is going to end soon either way; you might as well do all that's necessary to save all that you can."
Haruhi took one last look at her troubled comrades, wishing either of them were close enough at the time to converse with them as she turned back toward Shiroiyuki.
"... Very well," Haruhi responded. "I'm all yours."
"As I thought," Shiroiyuki boasted, her sword piercing through Haruhi in a flash. "I know you too well to think you'd do anything else.... goodbye, my friend."
"But on the contrary," Haruhi replied, not fazed in the slightest even as red text began to form around her. "You don't know me at all. If you did, you'd notice my banhammer isn't on me at the moment."
"What are you blabbering about?!"
"You'll see..." Haruhi trailed off just the red text consumed her at last and disappeared along with her. Then, as if by her call, an unexpected flash of white light rolled its way to where Haruhi once stood.
"MAKE WAY, MODS OF ANIMENATION! PRINCESS TWILIGHT VAIKYUKO SPARKLE HAS ARRIVED!"
As the light subsided, Vaikyuko and a female ADS stood before Shiroiyuki, clad respectively in black and white side-slit gowns. As ADS posed with one leg up to show off her golden heels, Vaikyuko simply took off her gloves to reveal her new long glittery silver nails.
"PREPARE FOR TROUBLE!"
"AND MAKE IT DOUBLE!"
"TO PROTECT THE WORLD FROM DEVASTATION!"
"TO UNITE THE PEOPLES OF ANIMENATION!"
"TO COMMEND THE VIRTUES OF TRUTH AND LOVE!"
"TO EXTEND OUR REACH TO THE STARS ABOVE!"
"CELESTIA!"
"TWILIGHT!"
"THE ELEMENTS OF HARMONY, BLASTING OFF AT THE SPEED OF LIGHT!"
"SURRENDER NOW OR PREPARE TO FIGHT!"
"PONIES! THAT'S RIGHT!" shouted the rest of the group in brave response, leaving Shiroiyuki absolutely dumbfounded.
"... What the hell are you people?" Shiroiyuki demanded.
"Agh, you could've warned us beforehand," Melion groaned, Desslock and AG holding him up while Midget simply stood furious.
