Leaving the truck stop Simmons drives down the interstate. Soon he can feel the terrain rising up. Had it not been dark he would have been able to see the mountains in the distance. They were almost home. An hour later they reach the mountains. They climb up one of the passes and down the other side. Reaching the bottom they exit the highway and take a secondary road. The small town there was farmers and a stop for miles mainly over the holidays and close to a ski area and state park. Following the road past the town they again enter the mountains. The road follows the base of mountains skirting the valley that seemed to run through them. They turn off the road and onto a small two lane road. It climbs over a ridge and drops down into a box canyon. As they descend down the sun breaks over the eastern ridge behind them and slowly lights the canyon as they descend. The floor of the canyon is flat and cultivated from end to end. Small farms dot the valley and in the center is a small river that passes through the valley and on it is a small town. Miles beyond that nestled next to the mountain on the western side is a large Temple like church that many people might visit to worship.
As they drive to town many of the locals wave as they pass by. The town itself looked as normal as any small town. Stores and shops line the main road. A grocery store and used car lots are passed as the exit the town and drive to the temple. Reaching the temple they pull around the side and into a large parking garage. Mr. Jones follows and parks Brandy’s truck inside across the garage from the vans. Jumping out he walks to the vans as they park in the marked spots. Mr. Simmons climbs out of his van. Miss Jones parks a spot over giving them room to unload the van. The garage itself is fairly large and had enough room for twenty or more cars. It also had a nice raised curb and sidewalk around the outer edge of the lot. On the temple side a wheelchair ramp and steps rise up to the entrance. Next to that was a set of doors to a freight elevator. The elevator doors open and Wolfson, Dr. Love and his Nurse are standing there with two gurneys.
