6/28/11 story update

By the time Mr. Simmons and Mr. Jones return. Cassandra was sound asleep in bed. Miss Jones was sewing on uniform number two. “I guess the trip and the food must have knocked her out.” Mr. Simmons said. “Would you have expected Cassandra to be wide awake?” Miss Jones asked. “Actually, yes I did.” Mr. Simmons replied. “From what I’ve seen and heard about what happened earlier. I’m surprised that Cassandra stayed awake this long.” Miss Jones remarked. “I’m sorry but, we cannot interfere with council business.” Mr. Simmons said.
“I’m still upset about the whole situation.” Miss Jones said angrily. “We need new blood and that means children. As drastic as this appears we cannot attempt another of the Old way runs.” How many of us did we loose? Mr. Simmons asked. “I know, I know, we ended up loosing everyone and bringing back one child. Not a good exchange in any form.” Mr. Jones remarked. “Shhhhhh” Miss Jones whispered and placed a finger to her lips for emphasis. She then gathered up her sewing kit and the outfit that still needed alterations. Mr. Simmons looks at Cassandra sleeping on the bed and then back to Miss Jones and he smiles. “See you tomorrow.” She whispered as she closed the door behind her and her husband as they left the room. Mr. Simmons kisses Cassandra good night and heads to his bed for the night.
Cassandra wakes up to the sound of the phone ringing. She picks up the receiver and puts it to her ear. “Hello?” she asked.
“This is your five o clock wake up call.” A female voice said and then hung up the phone. Cassandra rolls over. “It’s too early!” She moaned. “I’m surprised to hear that from you.” Mr. Simmons replied. Cassandra rolls back and sits up. She looks at the other bed and sees her father Mr. Simmons sitting up in bed. “You slept a good two hours longer than me.” He laughed. Pulling the blankets aside he turns and gets out of bed. He can hear the jingle of Cassandra’s bell on her collar. “We have thirty minutes to get up and dressed before we meet the Jones’s at the café for breakfast.” He said before closing the door to the bathroom behind him.
Cassandra nearly panics as she gets out of bed. Standing in her nightshirt it takes a few moments before she puts her suitcase on the bed and takes out her toiletries and underwear. She hears the toilet flush and Mr. Simmons walks out to the second sink outside of the bathroom. Cassandra picks up her items and rushes past Mr. Simmons and into the bathroom. He laughs.
