Orgus II

Anyone know anything about this film?

I only know that it has a hilariously terrible dub.

I've heard mixed things about it

Anyone seen it?

Aside from the fact that it is pretty old it is an awesome OVA series!! I loved it and still have it on VHS.

Orguss 02 you mean? I love it, great OVA.

The dub is not "hilariously terrible". Where did you hear that? Because whoever said that must have been talking about the Orguss TV series which had a hilariously terrible dub.
Orguss 02 was dubbed by the same company that did Cowboy Bebop.

The original Orguss was released in the US. The VHS release was canceled in the mid 90's but a DVD set of the entire show was released a few years ago. Might be very hard to find now though since a limited amount was made.

I just finished Orguss 02 not long ago. I agree that it's good stuff. I especially liked Lt. Manning, he was interesting and pretty funny. Spouted some of my favorite lines in the show.

I watched it like ten years ago when Sputnik 7 was still a thing and had some deal going with Manga ent. Wasn't abd - was worth the time to watch.

I remember Manga Ent anime on Sputnik 7, the video quality was horrible :lol: That's where my hate for streaming video first began.

I have the Orguss 02 DVD, it was a great OVA. I need to watch the original...

And for someone who's seen the original, this looks like it has absolutely nothing to do with first series and even beyond that I think it has completely different staff/studios/etc. But I guess that's how half the Macross sequels went down! Will have to watch it sometime.

Well most would probably agree that this OVA is better than the TV series that came before it.
