My apologies if this has been asked before, but what are the current status of DVD releases?

To my knowledge the original (UC) Gundam series was only released individually and is now out of print. Any plans for Bandai releasing this in one of their famous "Anime Legends Collection" boxes like pretty much every other Gundam series?

Thought G-Gundam was amongst these collections but having a hard time finding them through my normal dvd stores. Have these become discontinued also?

And, of course, what about the rest of the UC and AU series?
ZZ Gundam, V Gundam, Turn A Gundam, Gundam X, Unicorn, MS Igloo, etc?
While I get that "new is better" hence why Seed/Destiny & 00 Gundam have came out first... so what's the hold-up on the rest of the shows?
Starting to lose hope after all these years...
:(

IIRC there's some importing issues or something with the original series, such that if it were released over here it would be imported like mad at cheap prices in Japan so they'd lose all sales (or at least that was the excuse I remember).

G Gundam, Gundam Wing, etc, are just rare, they may have been discontinued but they had extremely saturated print runs so it shouldn't be difficult to find them online.

ZZ, X, Turn-A, Victory, MS IGLOO, etc are currently all Japan-only. Unicorn has a simultaneous worldwide release, and the first episode is coming out on Blu-Ray as an Amazon exclusive this month for domestic audiences. SEED and SEED DESTINY received okay viewership, 00 is as far as I know being received a little better. They put those out likely because the anime boom is over and they want to be careful and not take chances.

Any of the old shows would technically be taking chances (though why MS IGLOO isn't coming out, no idea. Maybe because it's a special type of "show"?).

Actually, we did get some MS Igloo back when Bandai Visual was playing around in R1 as Honneamise with their super expensive, sub-only DVD releases. If you look around, you might still be able to find them.

Mobile Suit Gundam MS Igloo Vol. 1 (http://www.mania.com/mobile-suit-gundam-ms-igloo-vol-1_article_79866.html)
Mobile Suit Gundam MS Igloo Vol. 2 (http://www.mania.com/mobile-suit-gundam-ms-igloo-vol-2_article_79904.html)

Also, Bandai just scheduled an Anime Legends release for the MSG Trilogy Movies in May.

Dang, have a love-hate relationship with the movie trilogy but I supose it's better than nothing. Perhaps if enough fans purchase the set they'll re-release the actual series so it'll still have my support. :p

Now hopefully it's only a matter of time before the rest of the series are released. Hopefully. :3

Thanks for the updates, appreciate it. ^_^

Nice. I completely missed that. Then again, I've had employment troubles over the past couple of years and haven't had much in terms of spending money. So, I try to remain ignorant about what's out there. It looks like they released 2/3 of the series, and Gravity Front was not released here. Although checking out clips on Youtube, it's not anime; it's CG. I guess I can get over that.
