I'm watching the movie Lagann-hen right now. I just finished the part where Lordgenome does some... interesting hacking, and the whole sequence is so hilarious, I about busted some internal organs.

Will post my feelings after seeing the final fight (which people have said lasts 30 minutes). Hells yes.

Leader Desslock, yes it did... or at least in the Lagann-hen movie. When Gurren Lagann combined with Arc-Gurren to form Arc-Gurren Lagann, the two massive Mugann combine into one as well, and Arc-Gurren Lagann ends up punching it so hard it shatters the space time continuum. Pretty darn sweet.

Oh man, I teared up again. Damn good movie.

Okay, so of all of the Tengen Toppas, Solvernia is my favorite. And watching Nia kick some butt was so sweet. I love how Simon and Nia were handled in the movie. And showing all of those alternate universes for Simon (in one he was holding his own child) got me all choked up. And then, at the end, when he was asking people to plant flowers (in memory of Nia, who mentioned earlier in the movie that her wish was to cover the earth in flowers)... :'(

I prefer the series overall.

A lot of it was just the music in the movie. It was the same music as the series, which was fine, it just wasn't used as well.

The movie was awesome though.

We already know size doesn't equal power. It doesn't matter how big you are if something puny in comparison can destroy the universe, GL included (Ideon, Getter Emperor, Demonbane, etc.)

Super Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann kind of did destroy the universe.

As for Ideon, please, it didn't destroy the universe. The Ganda Rowa blew up and took out some planets, nothing more.
