View Full Version : Boom.

My work blew up. :| Seriously.

Apparently there was a leak from a large propane container or something last night and somehow something ignited it, causing a massive explosion throughout the warehouse, blowing out windows, igniting other flammable chemicals causing more fire, which therefore almost lit up a gas line which would have caused a mushroom cloud had the fire department been located about two miles away and stopped the fire. <_< So when I went to go to work this morning and saw my work like this, I almost dropped a load in my boxers, and this is exactly what came out of my mouth...

"HOLY ****!! WHAT THE ****ING MOTHER****ING **** HAPPENED!!?!?!!? HOLY ****ING ****!!!" :eek::eek:

Followed by some more profanity.

So basically I'm out of work for awhile unless they can place all of the workers somewhere else in other shipping warehouses. Great, just great...*twitch*....WHY THE **** DOES THIS **** HAVE TO HAPPEN TO ME DAMMIT!?!?!

Looks like getting a new car is being put on hold for right now....s***.

I'm thinking it might be the weeaboo who almost burned down my work on accident earlier this year trying to get revenge.

And this reminds me of King of the Hill with the Megalomart blowing up more than anything. That's why I put Boom as the title.

Boomhauer: (gibberish)

911 Lady: Sir you're going to have to slow down I can't understand you.

Boomhauer: The...Megalomart....dang ol'...boom.

they have insurance for these kind of things. This normally doesn't mean that business stops for your company. It might take a couple of weeks (hopefully less) but Im thinking that you guys will have a temporary place of work. Good luck!

Sorry for the joke earlier. Bad timing on my part. When we have something real bad happening at my work, we just find ways to laugh at it to keep the morale high. Again, my apologies

No apologies needed. And the company owns multiple businesses, they'll be alright. Last time I was out of work they compensated my pay a little, but THIS? This is a little more complicated than a regular fire that was relatively quickly put out.

Apparently the firefighters found out about the fire because they heard the explosion.

Didn't this happen before?

That was a fire caused by an idiot Japanophile who is probably spanking it to Faye right about now.

Did anybody get hurt?

Nope, it was a little after midnight and nobody was there. Sometimes my work is open late though, luckily not this time.

Are you kidding me? My bosses are very concerned with safety. I actually just got a call before when I went out to eat after logging out of here before, there is a chance that something was tampered with.

WEEABOO SEASON. :ssj:

No offense to you personally, but I never take dating advice from people on an anime forum.

Wait, how do you know it was an idiot Japanophile?

Because I used to work with the moron until he got fired for putting a chemical soaked rag in the wrong container causing a chemical reaction lighting up part of my work like the Christmas Tree in NYC. And he's not just an idiot for that. He's a /b/tard with an obvious 2D Complex that fuji would say is too much.

I'm with the folks who say you might want to think about getting a new job. Well, if you believe in the superstition that things happen in threes. 1. Fire, 2. explosion, 3..... well it would have to be even bigger. Maybe you should move town, as well.

You're nowhere near any earthquake fault lines, are you? Likely to be hit by storms, flooding, tornadoes, hurricanes, or anything?

I mean, you have just said the unluckiest thing ever, just now.

Are you suggesting... The Switch? Do you realize in the entire history of western civilization no one has successfully accomplished the Roommate Switch? In the Middle Ages, you could get locked up for even suggesting it.

It'd be like discovering plutonium by accident. It can't be done.

Oddly enough, no. I flipped though all of the news channels last night trying to find if there was a story on it. Maybe it was on the morning news yesterday since it happened in the middle of the night? I wouldn't know, I was busy freaking out. I looked online too for the news, nothing.

Oh well, I've decided to spend my time off on a mission to beat Secret of Mana, which I've wanted for years and downloaded on my new Wii last weekend. I figure it will take me a couple of weeks.

Oh and if this was arson I'm gonna sue whoever did it for putting me out of work. If spilled coffee can win a lawsuit, I can DEFINITELY win that case.

Thankfully the bunch of Magnesium car tire rims that were supposed to go on a truck yesterday didn't catch on fire. Putting out a combustible metal that's on fire is impossible without specialized equipment. I remember that bit from science class in high school.

My job isn't dangerous, there's just a bunch of propane and flammable gas containers there. Some of the containers are used to power forklifts instead of using gasoline. We just make sure not to drop them.
