A Chinese mum-of-two terrified seaside bathers when she showed off her homemade full body sun protection suit.

Mai Lee, of Qingdao, eastern China, devised the bizarre outfit herself for summer jogging after reading about the risk of skin cancer.

But other holidaymakers ran for cover when she emerged in the weird get-up.

"She looks like a ghost, or one of those Egyptian mummies with a scarlet face - but her eyes and mouth look like holes in a plate.

"It's very creepy and she can't be enjoying herself," said sunbather Lin Feng.

But Lee explained: "I love jogging and running and I love the beach but I don't want to burn my skin so I cover it all up."

I don't know exactly why but I find this totally hilarious.

Looks like she's about to rob the beach.

Maybe I play too many games, but she kind of reminds me of a ReDead crossed with the Skull Kid.

It's a cool suit, people need to quit being such wusses. If they saw Isaac Clarke's engineering suit those people would probably run for the hills...

She looks kinda... gimpy.

Still, I'd be more bemused than terrified.

The suit's not that scary. The guns and the way he'd probably stamp on beach chairs and sandcastles while making manly grunts would be worse.

This would be an awesome way to avoid speeding tickets.

Great idea of an awesome Halloween costume!!

Heck, that should be the look for the next teeny bopper horror film. Like, this woman should be run over by some dumb springbreaker car and she would go out and haunt them and stuff because she wasn't really killed or something.

I have a feeling a hybrid of this is going to take of for ultra marathon runners (like 100+ miles, the type of races where your shoes melt...)
