Is CCA any good?

If I watch the 0079 movies and then CCA, is that any good? Mania gave CCA a straight A, but some people don't really like it. Like some say that Char is a pedo, or it was confusing, etc. I really love the Sazabi and Nu's designs, so I wanted to give it a shot. And I was able to make sense of Evangelion, so...

Watching the 0079 movies and not knowing anything about Zeta or ZZ will make CCA random but fun.

Knowing at least where the plot for the middle two are will make it all the better. Well, I take that back, you probably only need to know Zeta.

Watch it..it's awesome. You may be confused because you don't know some of the back story, but otherwise it's fine. I wish some of the old characters would have made cameos at least, but it was a good conclusion to the Amuro/Char rivalry.
