Yeah, many hobbies are quite inexpensive. It's just a way to do something interesting to waste time. If you get really good at it, maybe it can even turn into a small source of income.

Most recently, I got into motorcycle and that's -- yikes! -- expensive, but hella worth it. I'll have to wait on purchasing an actual bike just for that reason. On the other hand, it's too good not to do it so my account's going to suffer regardless.

I like collecting coins, too. I have an old collection my grandfather gave me and it's all ~1935~1950 era coins of German, British, French, (one) South African, and Canadian coins. I caught the collecting bug later on, and have added some old Canadian coins dating from around 1950~1965. The whole lot isn't worth that much since the coins are still common among collectors, but it's fun to look at them and check out their history. I've slowly developed an interest in money and its history just from this set of coins, though that wasn't the only source, of course. Fascinating subject! :P

Well, without expounding too much on my hobbies, it's just to say that it doesn't need to cost you much. Going to the library and reading up on history is free, for example. Finding out local clubs on X subject might as well be, too. Getting an interest in something for fun is what a hobby is. I can guarantee you won't be bored if you at least go searching for something. That might even be the most interesting part of it!

Lol naw. Cats are somewhat of a pest on farms because they can overrun most other things by sheer numbers, which causes diseases that spread to the other animals, including the ones we use for food.

So we prefer to let nature handle it. If the mother is capable they'll live. If not, then that's that.

Closest SPCA around is a two hour round trip, and I don't have the time or gas.

I saved about 7 kittens already this year who were starving to death because the mother wasn't milking. That cost me so much money that I eventually took them out to the SPCA, who didn't want them because they are full with cats. When I told them if they didn't take them I'd shoot them to keep them from starving, they reconsidered.

I'm done meddling in nature.

4 names if I remember correctly. 4 explosions happen in like every 10 seconds in a Michael Bay movie.

Well lets go down the list.

There was Old Ape Face (from the very beginning, which was the greatest name I could come up with and still is that's why I went back to Old Ape Face)

Then there was Kyo-Dono, (from the SDK era of my anime exploits.

Then there was Yukimura-Sanada for at least 3 years that I have been part of Animenation being the longest time frame I kept a name. He was from SDK as well whom I considered was my Anime personality equivalent.

And then I got bored and had many laughs with Futurama and became obsessed with Zap Brannigan, so I changed my name to Brannigan for like 3 months.

Then due to popular demand I went back to Yukimura becuase everyone told me I should.

But then I got bored again, and I really liked Old Ape Face from the begining, so I went a complete 180 and went back to my original username. To this day only a few people on Animenation remember me with this username, and what it refers to. So I consider it a iconic name for me.

So counting them all including going back to my original username I changed it 6 times since I've been a member of Animenation.

willag
September 23rd, 2011, 02:12 PM
Well, first I was willag. And then I changed it to willag, because it was my nickname as a child.

And then I got into hardcore ska punk, and renamed myself to willag because it was my favorite band at the time. But that was a short-lived affair when the lead singer wanted to go a more girly visual kei route and the bassist went all hipster and GOD were the group politics bad - I was ashamed to be a fan.

So not a week later I changed it to willag because my vampire boyfriend said it made him get so hot and bothered that he wanted raep me and tear me open from the inside with his demon child. Never had greater words of love been spoken to me.

About a month later, we ran out of money for crack, and so he skipped town and forced me into realization that he wasn't really a vampire and that he was actually forcing pencils into my neck every night to make me believe I was being bitten. In an angry fit of denial, I changed my name to willag. And then the lead poisoning sent me to the hospital.

Three months later, after contemplating the medical miracles of bacon (it tastes like heaven and injecting its fat underneath your skin helps your face not look so sunken), I gained a new inspiration for life. In honor of my new outlook, I changed my name to willag.

Things were looking up. I got a new job, got a house, got a car, got a cat. For 6 whole months, I was a productive member of society.

And then I found 4chan.

Oh 4chan.

It's best my deeds left unexposed, because my job is looking for any excuse to fire me now after being caught using the scanner to photocopy certain, ahem, private body parts on my body, which I had had tattooed and pierced to look like a... well, a famous meme. ANYWHO, during that time period, I changed my name to willag out of respect for a fellow channer, a true gentleman of our time, xX_willfaggordlord99_Xx - I hear that he's still running away from the cops nowadays. I wanted a shortened version of his name, but I got more than a few warnings after my initial name selection, and so changed it to willag.

And then I realized I was gay. Fell for the prettiest girl in the alleyways. Took her home and paid her extra to pretend to be my girlfriend. Everything was peachy at first. But then she started making snide comments on my choice of clothes, hairstyle, cats, food. So I started to change to make her happy. You think I'd learn. I started to wear miniskirts and four-inch high heels. I got a bob-cut. I traded up on the black market for a Persian. I threw out all red meat - most importantly bacon - and became a vegan. And this was all fine, but then she asked me to change my name to willag... and so I did.

I felt so lost. I thought I was drowning in a sea of pus and poo and it left a nasty taste in my mouth. Ten hours later I booted her butt right back out the door and changed my name to willag. And then I ate ten pounds of bacon, slept with Prons, and decreed to stay single for the rest of my life.

I have never looked back.

About 10 months ago, I came to the realization that I needed to go back to my roots to find myself again. So I changed my name to willag and have stayed this way since then.

What a wild ride it's been.

And I ain't no movie star. But people often tell me that I look like Matt Damon.

You look like Matt Damon?

I must know your address we have a lot of private things to discuss.

Nah, Aizen couldn't possibly have planned an entire murder of crows perching on my rooftop just to annoy the **** out of me. Knowing Kubo, however, it most definitely would be Aizen's plan.

... **** my life.

Once again, I'm fiddling around with an iPad....but this time, I'm on my front porch instead of in a nearby Best Buy. Yes, boy and girls, I've gone and bought one! Funny thing, when this thing first came out, I did some serious scoffing, saying I'd never be interested in this gadget. And yet, here I am with one. funny, huh? But, I gotta say this is a seriously cool gadget, still getting used to the keyboard, but even that's not too bad. And with up to a 10 hour battery use between charges, I can see that I'm gonna get a lot of use out of my new toy! ^_^

I saw the movie Drive yesterday.

At first I thought that the main character was a cucumber cool professional but it turned out that he was just a high functioning autist. There is no way he didn't have Assperger's

Just had a thought, we often have people told they're off topic in threads in this section, but you cannot be off topic in the off topic section unless you're on topic lol (which basically means you're only off topic if you post about anime technically).

Oh man yesterday some kids walked by and threw some trash onto my lawn for which I would have none of. "HEY PICK IT UP I DON'T TAKE CARE OF IT SO YOU YOUNGINS CAN POLLUTE MY NEIGHBORHOOD WITH YOUR RAP MUSIC!" I'm totally the 20 year old Mr. Wilson and the look on their faces was PRICELESS. Aside from a few my lawn is the greenest on the block I just need a lawnmower and some miracle grow so we don't have to pay for gardening which is lame in principle. The only reason we have them is because my mom doesn't want to buy a $100 mower instead of $60 a month, it pays for itself!

I hate how everyone has to hire gardeners in this neighborhood because they're too lazy to do it themselves or they feel too good for it. The house next to me has a completely dead lawn to the point of becoming bare dirt and I've started watering it. My mom keeps yelling at me saying he could sue us for it to which I say. "You know what? **** him I didn't live here for 12 years to watch both of my neighbors die and watch my neighborhood go to ****. If an 84 year old would mow his lawn with a push mower without a bag every weekend to create the perfect lawn which you could eat off of until the day he dies you have NO EXCUSE. I know he owns a lawn mower and has like 3 kids why can't they do it? The only way I've ever seen him water or mow his lawn is when I start walking by with my friend and talking **** pretty loudly. And he didn't even do it he had his kid do it half assed. The first time that happened it's because someone else said "You should fire your gardners." to which I both thought was hilarious and enraging. I don't know I've just grown up to see a nice place go from a nice beautiful green suburban style neighborhood where kids would play in the street to a stuck up pretentious lawyer ridden cesspool. A lot of it stems from the fact that my family had a great impact on building this neighborhood up to what it is today. When my grandpa died I saw a lot of property stolen from us that I could have lived in maybe make a business out of it but no. The Love family legacy had to die right then and there.

Dude. Saw the neck clean through, stick it into a rabbit cage or something and leave it on top of an ant colony somewhere you don't have to walk near.

Monday was a positively dreadful day. For starters, I woke up late and didn't have time to swing by AN, then at the office, anything that could go wrong pretty much did as I made mistakes all over the place, leaving me frustrated and seriously doubtful of my skills regarding my job. If that wasn't enough, I took those frustrations home, something I VERY rarely do, as a result, I couldn't eat, couldn't enjoy my leisure time, and I even had trouble falling asleep. While I'm feeling a tad sluggish this morning, I'm hoping this will be a better day. It certainly couldn't be worse than yesterday. Urgh!
