F1 is a bit like cricket to me; nothing much happens for ages then when something interesting happens people are like OMG WOW but mostly because nothing's happened for so long. Not nearly as boring as cricket, but similarly paced, for something that's going so fast.

It seems like it's that OMG WOW every 3 minutes in motorcycle races. :D

I think it's partly that a lot of the riders are really young (about anime mecha pilot age), so they're really fast and physically agile and visibly doing a lot of work, but they mess up more often, haha. Makes for a spectacle though!

I'm just a casual kind of viewer, I watch what's on at the time, I don't follow league standings, makes and manufacturers and teams - I am just interested in the current race.

Um, no. I care about LMS and ALMS too (even though I haven't seen a LMS race be on TV in ages). Personally I hate the fact that Ferrari won't make another LMP1 or LMP2 class car, because then Ferrari could win Le Mans outright. They've won the GP2 class with the F430s a few times, they slaughtered that class at Le Mans this year. This year wasn't the best for Ferrari with ALMS though, considering there was only one Ferrari team and they had to deal with several Porsche teams, BMW joining, and Nissan GT-Rs.

I'd know more about Todt and other Formula 1 related stuff if I knew what the British sites that have a lot more F1 news are, but some that I've found I couldn't get into because it's a British proxy.

Marines get a bit defensive sometimes if you mistakenly take them for an "Army" or a soldier. What a lot of us dont realize is that the term Army is a word use to describe armed forces before there were even differentiation of branches. Its a pride thing for the Corps. really.

Yesterday was....hm, how can I properly put it into words...ah yes, ****ing awesome!!:smokin: I went down to the racetrack by me because it's was supposedly an open track racing weekend and I wanted to watch. Well when I got there it turns out that I was wrong. Instead a racing club consisting of old race cars was there, but you had to pay $10 to get in. Yea, I gladly paid that measly 10 bucks. There was almost everything, a bunch of old Formula Fords, two Shelby GT350s, a Formula 3000 car with a BMW V12 in it (or was that the Formula 3 car?), multiple ex-CART cars, Can Am style race cars with one being a confirmed ex-Can Am car. An original Fiat 500 Abarth (I would have never expected that :blink:), Formula Mazda.....it was awesome!! :w00t:

Even more awesome that a lot of the owners let me sit in the cars. :D One thing about Formula cars though is that if you were to ever drive one, even a Formula Ford which are like $20,000 used, you might want to consider not eating anymore. The cockpits these cars are small, and I do mean SMAAALL. Each car is a different size, especially the old Formula Fords (most of the ones there were from the 70s) which are custom made to fit one particular driver. But regardless these things are severely cramped. Still, the whole time I was there for a few hours was sheer awesomeness.

And it sucks hard when you can't even afford to rent out an apartment for yourself let alone pay off a house with 3 kids.

You can't trust anyone either becuase you're paranoid that everyone's going to stab you in the back either financially or physically. You think everyone hates you becuase you spend most of the time on the internet, and you work 40 hours a week the rest of the time. Your a hygiene wreck but you somehow pull yourself together through the day.

Economy is **** and you know that you might not be able to afford anything soon, but you don't care, you want to see the world and make it the best you can before it all disappears.

This is how I live every single day, I'm single and I'm afraid of the world disappearing before I can actually see it. I see so many possibilities in my future and it scares the **** out of me.
