Kakashi Gaidens is 119-120 and it was done really well, I am a little dissapointed some stuff didnt get animated like the 4th defeating the 50 ninja, but all in all a good episode and touching at the end

I liked it. I wish the Obito/Kakashi vs weird Genjutsu guy lasted longer, but it looked cool. I wish they had shown the 4th's fight as well. They played alot of the same music that they use for great fights (Sakura/Chiyoba vs Sasori, Orochimaru vs Kyuubi and Kakashi vs Hidan/Kazoku) so I kept getting excited but they didn't really have too much on screen fighting.

Off-topic (http://www.animenation.net/forums/showthread.php?t=220603): Kakashi without the sharringan seems alot better, but I still say Curse Level 3 capable Sasuke > Sharringanless kid Kakashi.

It was awesome to finally see it animated. I too was looking forward to filler Yondaime pwns scenes, but sticking with the manga canon is okay too.

At this point in Naruto, considering the glacial pace of Shippuuden I'm sticking with the manga. Even so, I'm a considerable number of chapters behind, but the pacing is much better. I find animated Shippuuden to be a test of my patience...

That said I'm still tempted by animated Kakashi Gaiden.

You're avoiding it just because of how Shippuuden's been? I say just watch it. It'll be a welcomed change of pace.

Great special. I'm so glad it was finally animated. Not a bad choice for Obito's seiyuu; went with a "small name" (while Kiiroi Senko's was certainly a big name seiyuu [I go with Kiiroi Senko because at this point in the story, he's not the Yondaime Hokage yet, and we don't know his real name]). Kakashi's sounded a bit weird trying to sound younger, but it still worked. Glad this got the good animation too, and I liked their choice in bgm tracks.

Ahh, I'm not avoiding it as such. I just kinda stopped watching after a while, and haven't picked it back up since. I guess maybe if I watch a big chunk all at once rather than watching each episode as it comes, that would be a lot more enjoyable.

1. 4th extra DVD with the Shippuden uncut 3-disc boxset.

2. It's own individual DVD.

3. make it a double disc with the 1st Shippuden movie.

Well I hadn't read Kakashi Gaiden for a long time. Why is it NO ONE ever loves the same person in this series? After seeing this it seems that Kakashi's team and Team 7 have the same sordid relationships. Which makes me wonder why it's Sai who breaks the news to Sakura that Naruto likes her.

They artificially prolong series because if Naruto himself tells Sakura that he likes her that would shortened series by half.That goes for relationships between Sakura-Sasuke,Hinata-Naruto,also they made Naruto half genius-half idiot he can perform complicated clone jutsu but he cant tell that he likes someone,Shees I apologized because my english.

That's a whole different ball game right there though.

This special was great. Minato finally gets some proper animated screen-time and he's such a cool character that you wonder how the series gets on without this guy. Funny thing is a lot of anime-only viewers are seeing what Minato is capable of for the first time (aside from hearing from the characters of course).

The more emotional scenes were done very well though in my opinion; You could really feel the tension at times. Even though you know it's coming seeing Obito crushed under that boulder is still hugely effective and just stunned me, must have been the silence...

I thoroughly enjoyed it. Best Shippuuden episode since the Hidan and Kakuzu arc ended.

I think that fight will look more like the Orochimaru vs Kyuubi fight. My memory is shot, but I don't think there is all that much hand-to-hand combat in that battle. It's all super large scale jutsu and any hand to hand is like a one hit smash.

The only prolonged long and up close hand to hand stuff (in the vein of Kid Sasuke vs Orochimaru, Lee vs Gaara, Lee vs Kimimaru, Naruto vs Sasuke, the 10 vs 100 puppet fight, and Kakashi vs Hidan) that I can think of is Sasuke vs Itachi and maybe like 10 seconds of Naruto vs the guys searching for Killerbee and the Danzou fight.
