so did u watch the latest chapter of one piece manga...well it was good but not so good compared to the other ones before it..and the most character i like to watch is luffy cuz hes so powerfull than the other..

Luffy Zorro and Sanji use the ship coating to make wetsuits for themselves Sanji is even quicker and kicks the Kraken, Zorro attack called the Crossroad of the Six Paths , Luffy uses a Haki enhanced attack he called the Gum Gum Elephant Rifle. Franky has nipple lights! Ends with Sanji Zorro and Luffy sinking into the down current and the Sunny chasing them.

XD he's hilarious with his 1 eye atm.. i think he should start wearing one of those badass eyepatches like Kenpachi from Bleach :D He would be a 120 % Pirate "without the Hunter" :D... Anyway the last chapter pumped me a lot... too bad luffy didn't grew mentally 1 bit for 2 years i would like to see his mature side too but oh well Luffy is mostly famous for his retardness so its ok

Ha, yeah, I suppose I should trust him. I did think Skypeia did a little shark jumping at some point, but we all know what came after was one of the best arcs in OP.

Still, I think I might take that break. It'll allow the chapters to pile up anyway.

I don't think so, the facial features don't quite match up. Plus his nose is way to short, even if he "lost" it after Luffy broke it it shouldn't look so rounded, I'd expect there to be damage or something. The hair hanging down his face is too curly for Arlong too. He does have the same jaw though lol.

I am so glad Oda did not pull a Kishimoto and change the entire nature of the series after the break. I just can't imagine Luffy pouting about his bromance with Zorro who left him because he is bent on getting revenge on the stairs that killed Kuina. Both he and Kubo need to take notes about how not to f*** with a good thing.

You know I look at what Oda does every week then I go and read Bleach and get angry at how lazy Kubo is. I love Tom's brothers design it looks like Luffy vs Van Der Dekken round one next week. Ven Der Dekken made me think of Tao Pai pai riding the column with that piece of coral.

I'm just gonna say it, I love Ven Der Dekken's power. At first I wasn't all for it but its applications have grown on me. I always liked the visual/character design in Bleach but god has he gotten lazy lately, though I haven't liked the "story" since Ulqiourra died... but back to One Piece. I'm interested to see what a Great White Shark fishman can do, I'm hoping he gets to fight Zoro if Luffy gets Dekken but we'll see.

Well Oda pretty much laid it out for us in this Chapter that Hodi is not the big baddy. VanDerdekken is pretty tough taking a Jet Hammer and getting up. It would be typical of him to make Jinbei the badguy (which would be awesome) or have the Princes be behind the ooverthrough of their father

I can tolerate them when they're at the end of an arc like Brooke's and Luffy's but I absolutely hate them being right in the middle just as the story is getting interesting.

I'm thoroughly enjoying seeing Fisher, Jinbei and Arlong fleshed out. The only time I hate flashbacks is when they're from earlier episodes... as if I need a damn reminder why so-and-so is fighting bad guy x.

It might have been done jokingly yes... but Sanji was almost done in by nosebleeds and he's pretty strong. That aside it always seems that nameless soldiers are only competent when its a flashback.

Her size could be a problem, plus the fact that she can't feasibly leave the water so any story arc centered on the land wouldn't have much of her. I think if it's going to be a crewmember from fishman island it'll be a fishman who can walk on land and still fight in the water. I also thought this arc's baddies would be pretty strong (relative to the Stra Hats), but it turns out they really are one of the most powerful gangs around. I like that though it could get boring if Oda doesn't introduce more meaningful enemies.

Also, when are we going to meet Vegapunk!? He's been thematically built up for a couple hundred chapters already.

So, seems Sanji's the second member of the crew to master a Rokushiki form. I find this interesting and wonder if any other members of the crew are going to learn them. I also think this was a good chapter to show how a lot of the crew members have advanced (Zoro's Tatsumaki certainly improved quite a bit, as has Robin's powers. She may actually be quickly becoming one of the crew's powerhouse fighters at this rate).

As for this arc being a disappointment as far as their foe is concerned, I wouldn't be too worried. As far as I can see Luffy is still only about average compared to some of the New World pirates that fought at Marineford, and still probably weaker than an Admiral or a guy like Whitebeard. I'm sure there's gonna be ample challenges in the New World. This is just an arc dedicated to showing the fruits of the Strawhats training, I think.

Not really. I didn't see Hodi killing Dekken and I rather like Hodi's sword. It looks like we are around halfway through with this one. We have luffy on a flying boat with two villins and the rest of the crew to take on the other captains. We also have Caribou running around kidnapping mermaids. I think he is going to drop something in we did not expect, like he always does.

Of course I am impatiently waiting for the arc with my favorite warlord.

The Sea Kings, speaking to each other, say that Luffy heard their voices. It seems like Roger was also able to do that.

Back at the Ryuuguu Palace.
The mermaids, looking pleased, are found, but at the same time some treasures, including Urashima's Box, are stolen.
At the plaza, the crew explains the kidnapping misunderstanding.
Jimbe confines the human pirates (he doesn't behead them, but he's waiting for a decision from the royal family)
Chopper is sleeping with his head in Robin's lap. His monster transformation fatigues him, and he can't move for 2-3 hours afterwards. Sanji is jealous.
The princes bring Hody and Decken to the plaza. Both are unconscious.
Shirahoshi comes back, welcomed by everyone, but says that Luffy's blood won't stop flowing.
Luffy's blood type is F. A transfusion is requested by the citizens but no one can answer the call. Shirahoshi says: "What about me? It's a different type, but it's red!"
Chopper says "No, but thank you for offering all the same!"
Jimbe volunteers for the transfusion.
"What do laws mean to me? I'm a pirate."
The king says, "The old laws are really just burdens"

They should just help him do it immediately, or ask the King to handle it for him.

I doubt Moria would get an invitation, he's been a complete creep to the crew. (And Brooks would go beserk) Crocodile is his own man, Boa has to pretend she doesn't openly oppose the Navy, and the rest of the Shichi. got their own things going.

My personal theory is he figured out how to bypass the one fruit rule, it may not be limited to himself but he is stealing abilities and giving them to his crew. Overkill, I don't think so Blackbeard has to be the villain of villains and he pretty much is unstoppable now.

^ Yes, that's a very interesting development. I'm pretty sure it has to do with his Darkness fruit. Maybe he can use it to somehow combine the abilities with his crewmates?

On a side note, I especially liked how Teach was drawn in that panel. Looked more like the villian he's being built up to be. Despite being shonen, OP has some pretty neat designs.

The former aren't uncommon in adventurous (mythological) sea-faring stories (Sinbad, Ulysses, etc.).

The latter belongs better in a fantasy setting, imo. It makes me wonder how Oda's going to handle that one.

Well, cyborgs and mad scientists generally aren't too common in sea-faring stories either, but then you have Franky and Dr. Hogback...

Plus to me dragons are similar enough to sea serpents and the like that it doesn't take too much of a leap to accept, IMO.

I didn't even think about the possibility that Punk Hazard was the island that Aokiji and Akainu fought on, it would make a lot of sense. One side frozen, one side on fire. The whole warning sign with the World Government and Marine logos on it. Even though it would make sense, I think it was said that the island was closed off due to an incident four years prior to the Straw Hats arrival there, so maybe it's not the island where those two fought but it would definately make a lot of sense.

Why does everyone think every new arc that new nakama will be added? They don't need more just because it's the new world, that's hard to provide moments, fights, ect. for a lot of main characters. I do think their might be one more added eventually but still, why does this come up every new arc?

I doubt it, Oda has only had 2 on screen deaths in the entire manga. It's proof that you don't have to go the Geprge R R Martin route to make a compelling story.

Agreed, plus the time has really passed for any of that, IMO. We're too far into the story; at this point it wouldn't just be shocking, it would be a betrayal.

Given that Ace refused to be a Shichibukai, I'm kinda surprised that TLaw agreed to follow the World Government. (well, given all the fan-rumors that he's Sabo, since Sabo has tons of reasons to hate the WG) (plus he saved Luffy, and exed out his "A" tattoo, didn't he?)
