It's so unfair. Today I've been told I have to take anger management classes today -compulsory. And see a councilor about "issues".

University ordered. Apparently I can't whack anyone I like and I have "use my words". I did tell her to get (ok I won't repeat it but you get the general idea).

I'm surprised she didn't press charges but then again she touched me first so I could easily claim self defense. :D Or I'd press charges on her too.

Was this at work? Or... what...? If it was something at work or somewhere where there's someone supervising you like in a school or work place, you should have told them to knock it off and go and get somebody in charge. The last thing you should have did was punch them unless you were in public and they were about to physically harm you. Since you seem to be lacking any detail in information other than you just punched them because they weren't getting off your case, sounds like you deserve to be stuck in an anger management class.

Judging by your age, which seems to be 20 years old, there's no reason you couldn't have just walked away and drove off and gotten away from the person if they were getting on your nerves that much. You can whine all you want, but you should have considered the consequences of your actions beforehand. If I punched every single person that looked at me the wrong way, I'd probably be in jail by now. I've at least got enough common sense not to do that.

I can't even help but think you just made this thread with no other reason then to blow some steam and vent some anger, as there's really nothing to be gained from posting your problems in terms of us being able to give you any sort superficial advice. If she was pestering you for weeks, you probably should have called the police.

Story.

To cut it down and to put it in a few short kid friend friendly manner.

This girl was an ex-friend. She was a douche. I stopped talking to her. I had some of her property which I returned to the place she told me to. I was too angry to see her personally so I did so. She called me for the last 2-3 weeks, been harassing me and leaving me annoying messages accusing me of running off with said shoes. (YES I know this is pathetic on both parts).

She called me yesterday and was all like eehhhh you're a liar and you're a thief. She was like you have my shoes and I want them back. So I told her I'd meet with her to show her where I left them. The problem is this girl is crazy (even more so than me! She like recently came out from the mental hospital - no I'm not making fun of this but she's been on so many things even when we were friends you never could tell what mood she was going to be in).

Anyway I came today and she was in one of her moods and she started snapping at me and we exchanged words and she started calling me a liar again so I went to walk off and she pushed me. So I punched her. Sadly I have a bad aim...so it wasn't hard enough. Then yeah like some of the staff people had to pull us off each other and they were like do you guys want to be expelled. It's like no. So they said we either sort it out or we're in trouble. :/ They have a no discrimation policy.

So heres my advice:
what you need to do and i know its a pain..but go talk to university and explain everything because clearly you were just defending yourself. Maybe even get a restraining order or something like that on your former friend if need be. You are clearly being harrased and if you have some of those phone messages still it can help out your case. It might even get you off the anger management classes. Its worth a shot to at least try.

I am torn between thinking this world has gone so PC that one punch means you need therapy, laughing at the situation, and scolding Jia for not doing something better and going "well, you deserve it".

Jia, your best bet is talking to the university and telling them what really happened, and apologizing by saying you learned your lesson and won't do it again. And be sure not to. Universities are less tolerant of this stuff than high schools, and you should consider yourself lucky to get some AM classes rather than being outright expelled.

So maybe you should go, at least to see what's offered. If it's bull like breathing techniques or whatever, then just get it over with. Otherwise, you might learn something.

meh I still think the best thing to do is cut ties. If a person is literally THAT troublesome in your life that they're causing you all these problems and you know it AND you can't stand them to begin wit just cut ties and make things easier. In my country, if somebody provokes you and you don't at least punch them square in the jaw or something it's considered an offense punishable by at least 5 years of prison, where they make you watch K1 re-runs over and over.

MSN isn't really a good indicator with me. 3-4 conversations with you (2-3 of those times DRUNK) doesn't really seem to be the same as a sober conversation.
