I mean, I enjoy meeting a new person, figuring out all the (in)compatibilities that exist, etc., but dates in search of romance are investments in emotion and time; both of which are in dwindling supply. I'm not looking to argue the concept of karma. I just mean it in the broad sense that I want people to be nice to me and treat me well. That comes down to another thing, respect.

I honor respect, I know I might not always give respect back sometimes, I'm sort of the live life while you still can kind of person, I never do something without thinking about how it will effect myself in the future.

It is the worst part of being single. But for me, at the end of the day, I can easily make plans or getaway for the weekend without having to think of what my significant other feels. As for that debate on what women want, I was rather surprised and appalled by how many complaints there were. Confident and amazing; I find that that's really all women are looking for. And of those two things, confident is the harder.

I just get the feeling that a lot of people are too selfish to change themselves. They don't mind tweaking things they don't care for particularly, but when it comes to some key issues, (i.e. how one spends their leisure time) there's just no room for compromise.

In the meantime, I've got a date for my birthday! A nice dinner with a beautiful musician should bring out the artist in me tonight. I hope everyone else enjoys today as well!
