:mad:I 'm 24, right? and I come home from work to go on my computer while watching adult swim to play WOW last night. I applied for a free 10-day trial(got 4 days left). Anyway, I'm playing the game for about 3 hours or so and then around 2:55 AM, I b egin to log off. Seconds later, my mom comes in fussing at me for staying on too long and got into a fit about it and thought that it wasn't free. I told her that it was but she didn't think so. And for the next 15 minutes she fusses at me over it and how I'm not sing it to find a job, which I have been trying to do for the past 3 weeks. She said that it wasn't made for fun, but I use it for BOTH reasons. It's not like I've forgotten my goal completely, I just wanted to unwind for at least a few hours and get away for the real world. Is that too much to ask? I mean, c'mon! What really irks me is that she thinks that the stuff I'm doing is childish, but the fact of the matter is that these games are made for EVERYONE!!! She even thought the WOW trial I downloaded was going to show up on the phone bill. I'm only using the internet that came with the system. She got into this whole rant about how I'm not being "mature-minded" and goes on from there. That just killed my whole evening. Sorry to go on like that, but I just wanted to get that off my chest 'cause it's been bugging me all morning. I love my mom, but I just hate it when she has those 30+ minute-long speeches with me.

oh yea parental problems, I know that all too well. The last issue I had wit my mom was her speculating that I was a possible lesbian over a loading screen for an online game I play called ragnarok online and I can't control what comes in the loading screen -_= but anyway no big deal it'll blow over eventually like everything else does.

You're 24.

You live with your mom.

You watch Anime

You think WoW is a good game.

You are incredibly mature.

do you have a degree (if so, in what?) and where do you live (State/region specific please.) A lot of people play WOW. A lot of people are geeks... I mean there's a whole Object Oriented language inspired by Monty Python :/ being geeky =/= immature.

one day I know there's going to be a language named after WoW

edit: found the smiley of my choice

I don't think I find this interesting... personally I would just make some form of effort to prove you are mature.

I like Broand's post.

Your mom's just worried. Take a step back, evaluate your life, and do something, anything...get out of the house and start living.

Note the very beginning, Melle Mel:

"I 'm 24, right? and I come home from work to go on my computer while watching adult swim to play WOW last night."

Hmm, there's something not quite right about that sentence.... I think I'm prematurely losing neurons. When I try to unravel it, my thought processes completely shutdown for, like, a second or two.

Ok, take it slow. He comes home from work. Gets on the computer. He's watching adult swim. World of Warcraft. He's watching Adult Swim, on his computer, perhaps, then Wow?

F, why can't I understand what he's saying?!! I'm sleepy, yea, that's it...it's gotta be.... I don't feel sleepy, though, but I haven't slept since yesterday afternoon. Someone, please, explain!

^ He's playing WoW and watching Adult Swim at the same time. Clearly he's multitasking, which is a job skill many employers desire nowadays. I'm sure that if he lists playing WoW and watching Adult Swim on his resume, his phone (or rather, his Mom's phone) will be ringing off the hook with job offers.

I'll take your word for it. I was being serious, though, staring and thinking about it for too long was a bit disorienting. Makes me wonder if persons actually couldn't understand Mooserocka's posts and weren't just being douches.

Anywayz, BigMo, she'll lay-off if you start contributing, take on more responsibilities. Someone obviously hasn't told her that adolescence ends at 24, now. Though, I'm basing that off of a 2007 textbook. Might as well say 26. *Nods* Your post gave me a headache, but you're cool. Too many Mom-Haters in this country, glad to know someone other than myself (and about two or three other persons) actually care for their parent(s).

Wait, you are 24, definitely 26.

Thanks for the tip. Of course I love my mom, but I just don't like it when she freaks out like that. That's all. It was a free trial and I'm sure it wont cost anything. In fact, I'm speaking to my career counselor from my school today.

Dude, no matter what your age is, your mom's going to yell at you for doing crazy stuff even if you're no longer under her roof.

see thats the first thing I noticed was he got back from work /hmm

lies my mom doesn't get on the case of my other 2 brothers and sister but only me and my brother that lives wit me /heh one time because 2 'a my brothers are idiots and use myspace or whatever my brother out in navada tells mom that my brother that lives wit me has questionable things in his profile and then she gets on his case, but brother out in navada has pictures of weird stuff too and mom says nothing so I think its more if you live at home then everything is an issue.

then agian if you need more out reach of sorts I can attempt to reach out to you for I have similar problems.

Moms will always yell at you for something or other...

You should still get your *** in gear dude, regardless of whether or not your mom is yelling at you over something stupid or not.

the only time my mother yells at me and it bothers me anymore is when I do something to help them out...I don't know it bothers me when I go out of my way to maybe...lift the generator or run the pool help snow shovel etc etc etc..

maybe I do it "Wrong" whatever...and I get yelled at...but really WTF I just drove 30 min out of the way to help you out and now I'm getting yelled at for doing it "Wrong" that bothers me sometimes....

oh wait..now I'm talking about myself what was this thread about again?
