I'm new! Been looking around the site, seems like an interesting community. Someone grab my shoulder and lead me in the right direction...kidding. I looked around for an introduction and didn't find one, so here is my post. ^_^
Just wanted to say hi!
A few of my favorite animes include gungrave, trigun, inuyasha(so kill me, I finished it and didn't like it as much!), cowboy be-bop, samurai champloo, outlaw star, I'm in the process of watching Gurren, and oh wow I can't think of them all!

A fuzzy welcome would be in order I think. :naughty:

Salutations, fresh mea... I mean, newcomer. http://i230.photobucket.com/albums/ee223/Trefellin/hat.gif

You're a fighter, eh? Well, I've been know to kick a little *** once in a while so watch out bro! http://i230.photobucket.com/albums/ee223/Trefellin/ninja.gif

A couple things you should know...

1. Anyone with a red name is close to being banned and "on probation." It's good not to pay attention to them because they are trouble makers.

2. Don't, under any circumstances, let someone named "Shiroiyuki" know your name or where you live. She is possibly dangerous and has shown up someone's doorstep once.

3. Don't ask if you can be a moderator because they won't let you. I'm next in line anyway and there are many more waiting behind me.

4. Most importantly, never ever feed the Prons after midnight.

Also, I make stupid jokes so beware.

Mostly they get in trouble for trolling. Once or twice they managed to convince some naive soul that they are moderators. It's incredible the lengths they will go to for a prank!

Welcome. If you find anything interesting here, please point it out to the rest of us. :P

OoOooOoo I was called bro! I don't think I have ever been called that before, since I am female.
I am a curious one... and I fight, but only for amusement sometimes. I'll try to not get mean to anyone as I always try hard not to, but someones gotta have my back right?
As far as the moderator thing goes... there seems to be far too many people for moderating to be fun, and hey! Who said you were next in line Trefellin?

Oh...

I really don't care anyway, I call my mother "dude."

I'm at the top of the frickin' list. That's what says I'm next in line.

You call your mom dude? I only use that word when I'm blatantly drunk. My friends hate it. (no offense) I used that word as a kid too much.
:P

Where is this list you speak of? Where do you go to spam when your bored?

I can't remember where the mods posted it. All I remember is that I was second but Superplough was modded so I'm next.

I don't spam, I prefer to have intelligent conversations.

You really don't. There used to be threads for that but the staff banned them, and now you can't really drift too far off topic without getting a thread locked.

Welcome YokoLoko. If you need some lovin' give me a call.

Nice... lol

I think avoiding spam is a good thing, just curious to be honest.
Trefellin, do tell me how having a conversation about calling your mom dude and some rules on here is intelligent? I think forums are very unlikely to be intelligent, as I have found this out the hard way. There are either stupid flame wars with people going back and forth without noticing each others posts besides the negative points or just plain out common talk. The only intelligence I have found on forums, especially anime forums at that are one sided conversations about people telling their opinions. I can tell you are a prideful one already.

So... Hows the weather up there? teheh

I tend to leave a rough first impression no matter where I go. :-/

I wonder why. You just insulted one of the first dozen people to talk to you, and by implication everyone else on the site.

I'm not saying the people aren't intelligent, to my defense. Just that forums don't seem to be the place for intelligent conversations.
Don't go getting your panties in a twist.

I take your point, but some more or less so than others are suited to intelligent conversation. I wouldn't necessarily put this forum at the top of that particular list, but far from the bottom. Incidentally, I personally consider Trefellin's posts in this thread to be quite sufficiently intelligent. If you compare them to the average forum post, the spelling and grammar alone set them apart. Then when you consider that he's actually deliberately attempting to be funny and not serious... well it takes a smart person to make good jokes.

Don't go getting your panties in a twist.
Do I sound like they are? No. It's a calm and rational observation, that's all. Personally I'm not involved, I wasn't insulted except by a vague general implication and I'm quite secure enough in myself to not care about that.

Yes, he does seem like an intelligent person himself...you have taken my point. You don't have to follow me back and forth between the FDA thread to prove that you as well are intelligent.
You do seem a little on edge, don't take my posts too literal, I'm quite the opposite. I was just a little offended myself when Trefellin put a little quirky ending about intelligent conversations at the end.

Now... everything good?

You give yourself a little too much credit if you think I'm following you or anyone else. I'm just checking for new posts every five minutes while I sit here playing a game on the other screen. I'm replying to you because I think you're wrong, not to prove anything at all. That's how discussion works for me. You disagree with the person, you post an explanation of why and how.

It's my understanding that Trefellin put that there simply to distinguish 'intelligent conversations' from 'spam', rather than in order to give offense to anyone. Almost by definition spam is the opposite of an intelligent conversation.

I'm not in the least on edge, I assure you. I simply like to clarify things. This is a medium of communication, and I like to be clearly understood when I communicate. That means that I'll probably go the long way around to say something, but it's a complete misunderstanding on your part if you take that as anything other than the desire to discuss points of disgreement.

However I will admit that I'm disturbed by the way you're misreading me. Only to the point of making my posts even longer and more thorough than usual in the attempt to get past the misunderstanding, but I can see it's probably having the opposite effect.

Now... everything good?
It always has been. You seem to be reading things in my posts that aren't written there, but that's not any kind of a problem for me.

I don't think I have misread you at all. I seem to be getting the same impression from you. You remind me of my brother... you are very tiring. Yes you are going a little out of your way to be thorough but I assure you... it isn't needed. The repeating of the same pointss as well... is not needed. We have turned my introduction page into quite an annoying read, like I have said to you before, Let's leave it at that. I come off as dumb, because it leaves me with little to be desired, but I assure you.... I'm not.

Insults again, how nice. You may not like my ways, but they don't result in insults. However, I will leave it at that. No long post this time. After all I have no reason to disagree with you this time.

Besides that, I was also making fun of myself. The humour being derived from that fact that I am often facetious. Taking delight in the immature, absurd, preposterous and ridiculous. My humour is often very dry or incredibly stupid.

I can only think of a single instance when I posted something with any actual intent to insult someone.

It isn't a big deal to me either, guy was just contradicting himself trying to sound intelligent. He must play games all day, I've seen the type when I worked at a video game store.
