What's the name of this song?

Ok I hope some really observant person who knows their anime soundtracks can figure this one out.

I am looking for a song from the Ghost In The Shell Stand Alone Complex - it's been awhile and I lost my OSTs for the series. The song is my favourite from the OST after Lithium Flower.

I think (but I'm not 100%) that it is a Yoko Kanno song or it's a Illaria Graziano song.

The scene which the song was played is where The Major and the Tachikomas jump from the rooftops and The Major is talking to Batou. It's an epic helicopter fight in the sky. I'm pretty sure The Major then jumps onto one of the helicopters.

I remember the scene also being like the one from the first Matrix movie.

Are you thinking about "Stamina Rose"? It’s by Yoko Kanno/Gabriela Robin.

No. I have Stamina Rose - def not that one.

I'm pretty sure it is NOT on the first OST. And the singer is female.

I think it could be on the silver album (the one with Motoko on a silver background) or the see through album. The album I did find (the pixelated orangey-purple-black album) does not have the song. I think this is the first OST that is the latter.

Can you be specific as to which episode this is from? I think you may be refering to the one where the military helicopter is being controlled remotely (Section 9 finds out the pilot is actually dead [the ep dealing with the refugees? {2nd GIG?}]), but I don't remember which episode # that is.

I think if it's not from the first second/first OST. My guess was the helicopter episode was from the 2nd or 3rd GIG.

I don't remember much of it other than The Major jumping across buildings and she is pulled along with a rope but stops the helicopter moving and the tachikomas (I think) were trying to shoot down the helicopter.

I was able to verify that it is indeed Episode 4 of the 2nd Gig
It plays out pretty much as you described it.

-A bunch of Tachikoma
-Major, Batou, Saito
-Helicopters vs Tachicomas
-some building scaling/jumping
-Rope (fired by a Tachikoma) that the Major grabs and holds

The Major holds onto the rope that's attached to the helicopter and gives Saito enough time to take a shot.^_^

The song starts at about 17:25 and the voice is female...

I'm afraid that's as helpful as I can be since I'm not too familiar with all the tracks from the various OSTs. Hopefully someone here has an answer for you:(.
