I have to say boo hiss @ making Danzou a real deal bad guy. He shoulda just been a hard *** with a mean streak like **** Cheney or something.

I'll throw one to Naruto as well for still having his head in the sand and actually going out of his way to protect criminals. He's your friend but your friend has gone off the deep end. I could feel for him in the past because he never really did anything wrong. All he did was want a killer to be brought to justice while the village seemed totally ok with Itachi having killed an entire clan of people and weren't doing anything. I was still rooting for him when he wanted the elders of Konoha dead, but he's kinda gone in a wild path now. I think it's a wild-out-of-character-makes-no-sense-when-judged-against-anything-in-the-past-clearly-just-the-writer-getting-bored-path, but a wild one none the less.

Since he's going for Danzou's head... it doesn't seem too wild to me.

Also, try to see it from Naruto's position. Would you sell out your closest brother or sister or give away information to hasten their demise?

In regards to Danzou, you should've expected that from the beginning, since he is stated as doing what he feels to be "necessary" to protect Konoha, and that includes assassinations as well as collaborating with morally depraved or ambiguous individuals such as Orochimaru.

all this time I have thought that Kabutoro could be the final boss, even over Madara, now I am wondering how strong Danzou willbe if he can use jutsus fully again and whether or not he cares about the village or himself
