Some good fights on the card. Watched it last night at a local Hooters.
Dan Hardy over Marcus Davis split dec- very back and forth fight, could have gone either way, Hardy wins with a couple of vicious elbows that cut Davis.
Spencer Fisher over Cao Uno unamous dec- crowd was booing at times as there was little action other then Uno pressing fisher against the cage, and trying for takedowns or submissions and failing.
Mirko Cro Cop over Al Turk KO- Turk caught a finger in the eye, but was going down anyways. His takedown attempts were just getting tossed aside like he was some small child. Cro Cop looked kinda chubby to me, aparently afterward it was learned that Cro Cop has signed a deal to fight in Japan for the dream organization despite agreeing to a 3 fight deal with UFC. According to Dana White, Mirko hand picked this opponent, and turned down every other opponent including Cain Valasquez (can you blame him  )
Mike "quick" Swick over Ben Saunders KO- knockout of the night (lol only two), Swick had been winning the fight before that, taking Saunders down a couple of times.
Cain Valasquez over Chieck Kongo UD- only thing more dominating would have been a ko. Fight went something like this... Cain would rush in, Kongo would knock him down with a solid punch, he would get right back up, toss him around pound his head in for awhile, until he manged to get back to his feet, and Cain would toss him around some more. Repeat for 3 rounds. Cain V vs Brock Lesner/Frank Mir winner?
Rich Franklin over Wenderlei Silva UD- a decent fight, the usual wild flailing by Silva, but actually scored a takedown and used kicks more then he has recently. Franklin was the more polished technical striker, but did take some shots. Silva at this point in his career seems to care more about putting on a show for the crowd then winning a fight
In other news, Tim Sylvia lasted about as long against Ray Mercer as he did against Fedor. In other words, a very early exit for Mr Sylvia
