Naruto returns to the village (inside his mind, Kakashi praises him “you held on well”) Naruto is greeted by a large mass of followers

From a distance, Hinata affirms Naruto’s safe return, crying. She remembers how Naruto was always all alone when he was a child and compares it to the present.

Watching Naruto being adored by everyone makes Iruka-sensei cry as well. Sakura approaches Naruto and hits him on the head, hugging him immediately after “Thank you…” Shikamaru’s father calls for an important village meeting (for the jounin squad leaders)

I think that Naruto has reached the level of maturity where he realises just how big of an influence he is, especially after the Sacking of Konoha. I actually see a Konoha Civil War or Revolt breaking out if Danzo becomes Hokage.

I have a feeling that since Katsuyu was with Naruto when Nagato was telling his story, that it would have also told the Konoha ninjas about what Danzou has done, I doubt it's a secret only Kasuyu, Konan and Naruto knows. If it were for me, I'd nominate Shikaku to the position. He's super intelligent, a high ranking jounin, and has proven himself as an experienced warrior and excellent leader. He may not have the raw power of guys like Naruto or Jiraiya, but his mental game is almost unmatched.

Anyways, all of the stuff Danzo said was true. Maybe the regime change will be for the better. Following the 3rd's principles have done nothing but led to the destruction of the village twice now. Everything Danzo said is like undeniable fact.

I don't think the villagers will revolt because it's clear that while the third's teaching are very nice and kind hearted, but they don't work when it comes to keeping the village safe. I see the spin factor being that Danzo is a leader who is willing to make the hard choices that it takes to keep the village safe. With the entire village destroyed, I think the citizens will latch on to that.

Also, i'd like to think that Naruto has matured to the point where he's not going to beat up a rightfully elected leader just because he disagrees with his political stance.

I've been wondering, why should we believe what Madara told Sasuke to be true? He could have lied about the Uchiha being betrayed by Konoha, and he maybe was the one that secretly tricked Itachi into murdering the entire clan. I don't know, I just don't buy the claim that Itachi was a good guy all along.

This was inevitable. Only way to make Sasuke NOT look like a total baddie when he attacked Konoha. And we all know Kishmoto is a Sasuke fangirl deep inside.

The only question is of course how naruto comes to play in this whole situation. Somehow I see Sasuke losing one or all of his groupmates, but Naruto somehow chiming in before Sasuke finishes off Danzou.

It's not going to be easy getting to him though, we will have to see a Sasuke VS Naruto fight first. Unless sasuke really sneaks by everyone noticed and assassinates Danzou..but I'm sure Sasuke's return is gonna be big. (Blows up a building or kills Kakashi o.o)

It would be kinda awesome if Danzo had better intentions then we are led to believe but since this is a shounen, depth in the story isn't welcome.
