A hint was given to me, written in the end of the story in a book. Naruto tells Nagato that he’s thankful. (Translator’s NOTE: Something along Naruto being thankful to Nagato of reminding him of the ending of the book.)

The protagonist in the story becomes Nagato. He is portraying the lead role. The story begins. (Translator’s Note… Yes, I know, it doesn’t make any sense. The translation should be pretty close, though.).

This time they’re talking about his name.
ナルトが　「ナルトだ」
Naruto “It’s Naruto”.

Upon that being said, Nagato returns to himself.

That translation doesn't even make sense. I've learned to disregard these things until at least the end of Wednesday, though I've read a couple that were actually better than the chapter that did actually hit.

There's no Kisame in 448, a lot more conversational talk about who's going to follow who's dreams and goals, but not a lot of big jutsu usage, next chapter though.

It'd be funny if Nagato somehow restored the village using this most likely final jutsu.

I enjoyed the chapter. Kishimoto managed to work out Nagato's conversion pretty well. I found it to be believable.

For Nagato to believe in Naruto's way for peace, wouldn't that mean he no longer had any use for the tailed beasts? So is Nagato thinking "wow, now that I've put all of my faith in Naruto, I no longer need the Akatsuki or the tailed beasts we've been hunting all this time!". Well, if Nagato is doing something like, oh, I don't know, getting rid of that thing that is storing the beasts, you better believe Madara is going to do something about it (do I sense a "Madara kills Nagato ftw!" moment coming?)

Yeah, Madara is the true leader of Akatsuki, but Nagato is the one who owns the statue. So if Nagato does gives up the statue, that's going to totally throw off Akatsuki's plans.

Oh, and in regards to the book, it was Pa Frog who gave him the book while on Myoubokuzan, so in order to take it back, Naruto had to keep it on his person. Still, that does seem like an uncomfortable spot to keep a book, especially if he's going into battle.

...I mean, I saw it, it was there, but I have a hard time taking it seriously.

I sincerely hope that the whole "or that's what you wanted me to say," thing is how the chapter actually starts, because even after the whole Gaara converting, Sasuke speeches, Jiraiya lectures, Kakashi sob stories, Will of the Fire ballads and Sakura shoutouts it really... Really... Pains me to read this.

Why do I still love this story? Naruto help us all. Sigh.

It may not be what some of you guys wanted, but all of the foreshadowing was leading up to this. I think Kishi wrote it brilliantly by tying together Nagato's childhood ideals with Jiraiya's work and Naruto's embodiment of those ideals. Before this chapter, I knew what was coming, but I didn't know if Kishimoto would pull it off in a satisfying and somewhat believable way. He managed to do so, and it came off being very believable, in my opinion. Nagato's always wanted peace, but he just lost sight of his former ideals.

This scene will/should be epic in the anime.

He's not a very powerful ninja, but his strategy and knowledge can out match someone more powerful (Hidan) If shika, had rinnegan or a sharingan, he would probably one of the most powerful in the series lol.
