It's amazing that what used to sound like your typical spam thread title has become the truth (http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/news/2009-05-14/one-piece-to-start-simulcast-on-may-30). Simulcasts will be available on www.onepieceofficial.com.
I really don't have much to say except that it's a great time to be an anime fan. The only thing I have to complain about is how hard it is to wait from week to week for the next episode. I guess I need to consider changing my viewing habits.

The wait between episodes is exactly why I don't usually watch something as it airs. In the case of One Piece I only watch the arcs which are finished. It's worth the wait and gives me more time to watch other stuff in between.

Are you talking about Funimation's dub?

Hey guys. Question about episode 38.
Wouldn't the towns people cover bells shear of the ransom? I mean they obviously cared very deeply for her.

Funimation isn't to bad, I mean, nothing lives up to the cowboy bebop dub, but I think he is talking about kids.

I can stand the new dub... it's fine. If this is really dubbed that would be fine by me. The thread title says subbed though. Either way it's irrelevant to me since FUNi don't have rights in the UK to offer this stream.
I can't access it.

Based on their description, they're talking about Nami's hometown. Anyway, those guys were bullies anyway, so even if the townsfolk offered to take care of her share, they still would've demanded money from her.

Haha I'm currently watching it :)
ffl = Yeah they may have well done that out of spite. That or they just never had the chance to scrape the money together as it happen so suddenly.

The thing with the "wait" for the One Piece episodes is that there really isn't one, it's available the same day it airs in Japan.
I could have never of fathomed such feat back in the dusty old VHS days.

I don't know if anyone knows this yet, but for the past two days the latest episode simply won't play right (it's 8:22 PM EST as I write this). It freezes at 00:03, and simply won't play any further. Oh, and it's not just me, everyone is having this problem; the problem is on FUNi's end. In this case, it's not the player (as it often had been), but the upload itself; all the other videos play just fine with little to no problems.

The last few have been giving me trouble. I assumed the server was getting hit too hard.

Mine froze at 8 seconds so I all I got to see was the commercial for Redwall and mostr of the toei splash animation. For cases like this their are alternatives available if you care to look Buggy was awesome in this episode
