I had the Captain Planet comics. I would buy them every month. Guy at comic book store knew I would be searching for them.
OK, so back in high school I was the world's biggest Captain Planet fan.
Thank you for posting the link! The power is yours!

I dressed up as Linka for my U's anime club Halloween party in 2004.

It sounds bad enough to be actually funny. But not funny enough for me to get it.

Oh the storylines were actually very good. Only the first one matched the TV series' beginning. They happened in the same universe and there was no divergence- just more episodic.
I wish they had given the series a true conclusion. Other than the addition of a 6th planeteer from India in the future, not much was shown.
And we need a live action movie!

And we need a live action movie!
THIS IS MADNESS!!
A blue dude with green hair running around with teenagers with lame elemental powers? No no no no.
If you want a blue superhero, go watch the Watchmen (See what I did there?), Dr Manhattan is blue AND naked. Only that beats Captain Planet by a mile.
If they ever would make a live-action movie, I pray to some higher being that it would be like this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uVzLzClY2E8
"Protect the enviroment or I'll f***ing kill you!!"

Although right now it could be somewhat likely with the whole environment and going green thing.:|

I second that emotion! Captain Planet was the lamest, dorkiest cartoon I ever saw in my life. With that godawful mullet, he looked like Billy Ray Cyrus after a bad case of hypothermia! I pray to the entertainment gods that no one in Hollywood gets desperate enough for something new to put on the big screen that they'd sink THAT low!

On topic of the review, it's one of the funniest I've seen based on the plot holes that could fill a garbage tip.

Quick question for us foreigners, what's a garbage tip?

I thought it meant one of those places where garbage is stored and recycled...or something like that.

I've heard of garbage tins. Not tips, unless it is practice over there to tip the garbage man.
But garbage tip sounds like a place where you just knock your garbage in. Not so much of recycling.

Captain Planet had a mullet. Kwame had a flat top. Linka had big bangs swept to the side.
Gee, it shows that this cartoon was made in the early 90s. I remember those hairstyles a bit too well. I even had the big bangs swept to the side AND the ponytail.

I knew someone who had 80s hairstyles in the mid 90s cause his mom cut his hair and obviously didn't know the decade had changed. Poor bastard looked straight out of an 80s hairstyle catalog. Got so sick of it he paid for his own haircuts.
