Miss DD manga question

Hey guys i just recently got Miss DD vols 4 and 5 by Chiyoji thats soposs to be the US translated versions of the manga. However the ones i got are freeking censored! 1 2 and 3 weren't like this. Also i noticed 4 and 5 were printed in canada.
I'm just wondering was there 2 different versions printed by NBM(thats the publisher here in the states) for 4 and 5 ? I would appricate it because if these are the only ones for it man i would feel ripped off since they advertise this series to be uncensored.

Actually I saw an issues of this a while back and didn't care for it to begin with. I would venture to say is that they were translated only & the fact they were printed in Canada doesn't really mean anything.

I would suggest you check out some of the titles that Icarus Comics have brought to the States. The quality is a lot better & they are printed on better paper. I would strong suggest their titles Aquabless done by Yamatogawa and Swing Out Sisters by Shinonome Taro . . .

i appricate the opinion but mostly i'm just curious to know about these vols in the series because the other past miss DD vols i own are 100% uncensored.

I just really need to know if there were any other miss DD vol. 4 or 5 that were printed that i didn't know about. It happens all the time with certain mangas right? lol thanks again for your time.

I checked my copies of volumes 3 and 4: volume 3 is explicit, while volume 4 has blank spaces in place of the genitals. (It's possible that that is the way it is in the Japanese editions—the artist could have changed the way he drew the art part way through.) Volume 4 also lacks anything stating that it is a first or second edition, so I assume that there is only one.

Have you tried contacting NBM and asking them about this?

Nah. I just thought something was very very odd i meen imho i don't think Chiyoji had any control when these were released(just call it a gut instict).Infact i haven't seen another volume aviable ever since vol.5.

Anyways i don't just enjoy the series for the main action.lol I just love chiyoji's style with what he does with his ladies and how he gives the woman those sly looks and woman like need situations. :lol:

Still i just find this to be a shame. :( Last thing i always hate to see is someones artwork altered just to appease a certain crowds needs. (as in the people who probably wouldn't even give a hoot or even look at it )

Yes, it was.
BTW, the author's full name is Chiyoji Tomo (http://www.listadomanga.es/autores/chiyojitomo.htm), though I can not for the life of me find his name in kanji/kana. His works have been published in Spanish (the source of the American editions), Italian, and (I think) French, and I would begin to suspect that he is European except for the obviously Japanese setting for the stories.
