Yes that season has begun again, this thread is a little late for the opening day but this section deserves a Baseball thread.

Sadly they only come out to Arizona like once a year. And when they do all of the tickets are sold out in seconds because of all of the Yankees fans that moved out here.

Go Mets!! Probably won't see'em this year either. I guess it makes for a good excuse to have to go up to NYC this summer.

Baseball is like teeball except the ball is pretty much thrown at you instead of standing on a tee.

I'm ashamed and suprised that Australia doesn't know what baseball is...

New Zealand must have it's own Sheepish team.

On the British island, of cource I supose I would have expected that from Australia.

but I'm sure there are baseball fans in Britain too.

To be honest, My favorite sport I follow is Formula 1. I just felt that Cricket just needed to be mentioned . . .

The huge difference between baseball and teeball is that the ball gets thrown at you at around 100mph.

and it has a rival country on your side of the world who is just as competitive over the sport.

Be thankful this isn't a Football vs. Soccer/Football debate and there aren't any rabid soccer fans here. Wait are there?:unsure:

Which sport is better? Oh no I didn't mean it like that. I'm saying that over here (to my knowledge) that baseball isn't as well known as a T.V sport. We have things like cricket and football (which is like your NFL) and the other football (soccer).

I personally hate the 3 of them...so yeah hopefully baseball is better. :)

I'm a rabid soccer fan, but I can appreciate American football too.

EDIT: I'm thinking of going to the subway series this season. Trying to coax my father into paying for the tickets hehehe

The thing I like about baceball is that even though you're waiting for a guy hit the ball, when he does hit the ball there's always a surprise out of it.

Also the fact that the score could change without warning.

True baseball is when you're favorite team is losing by a mile in the last inning, and then in the next inning they win the game.

Last night's Red Sox game was with the Toronto Blue Jays, and they destroyed them with a 5-1 lead, thanks to good pitching.

Red Sox fans are bad in every aspect. They're one of the most radical team fan groups out there, right beside Eagles fans (not baseball, but they're horrible).

Although soccer fans are waaaaaay worse.

I definatly dislike Red Sox fans.. I hate to say it but they've turned into yankee fans. sorry but I wanted them to break the curse as much as the next guy, but I didn't realize they'd turn into such d-bags about it..

I'm loving the Giants this season, thier pitching is pure awsomeness.. Cain and Timmy and dominate.. can't wait to go next week to Giants vs Pirates!
